Florida Lottery Holiday Millionare Raffle
Is anyone else planning on playing this? I plan on getting one tomorrow, maybe 4 more next month if they don't sell out. Seems to be pretty good odds on winning at least $500

not until today...was gone all day yesterday...and I agree on the raffle tickets..I still don't beleive that they sold out the $50 ones. the $20 raffle tickets sell out a lot faster

The lotteries do the research before and have a good idea of how many raffle tickets they should expect to sell. The Florida and Michigan raffles sold out quickly and Ohio didn't sell all of the tickets in its first raffle drawing. But since the total ticket sales were more than they paid out, they still made a profit.

I think the Iowa Lotterys timing was off.While this raffle promotion was running Iowa suffered several killer tornados and the worst flooding in 15 years.People around the state were preoccupied with survival to be concerned with a raffle.I hope some of the flood victims in Cedar Rapids and other towns were winners,they can sure use the money.

I'm with you, I love the raffle games. I don't think the lotteries do enough to educate people that the raffle exists and why it's so good. Also, the Christmastime raffles do better because people give them as gifts.

I like the raffle games, and I play every time they have one in my state. If people want to throw away their money, the lack of a raffle game is not going to stop them.

Million Dollar RafflesReply
i would not consider myself a millionaire if i won one million dollars in a raffle but i would still be very happy. i noticed on the tn lottery website that the raffle drawing was supposed to happen at the end of january but now the ticker says 86 more days until the drawing so that is a mistake or the sales were so sluggish they moved the drawing.

I bought a PA raffle ticket today for Saturday's drawing and they are just about sold out. And I'll probably use the $20 I won from a Christmas scratch-off gift to buy another Ohio raffle ticket for next Monday's drawing.
