It seems like I have to continue to fight the urge to buy scratch tickets
LOL about the cookie aisle. I never play the 1 dollar tickets because the odds are so lousy.

Post your scratch ticket results
In regards to 100x $25 tix... Odds for $200 is 1 in 250. that is almost 10x ticket value. Yet for $1 tix the odds to win $10 (10 X tic value) is 1 in 100. Something just doesn't seem right. Unless you hit $500 or more your basically screwed on 100x. I won $100 symbol yesterday. Bought 4 tickets from another store - lost. I could have bought 100 $1 tics and probably would have won at least half my money back. I typically only play $20 tickets but I keep wondering if I should start playing the sma

$20 Scratch Off Tickets
Anyone know what the odds are of getting your money back or more if you bought a whole roll of $20 scratch off tickets? I see the odds are 1 in 2.95 on average..but am curious if anyone has ever done this and how they made out? I hear the $20 scratch off tickets have better payouts? Any thoughts?

$189 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot rolls again
Yeah, I doubt it.
The game has been averaging sales of less than $20M per draw this year. That's before they make it worse. That works out to be about a billion per year on a system that is now going to be 1:250,000,000.
That's not a few billion per year. It's a couple of billion, which is pretty miserable for a population of the size living in areas where tickets are sold.
You expect a lot of big jackpots? Um...um...um...
What I said, in case you missed it, was that the PA lottery r

Why is it that no one has ever won a dozen or more MUSL jackpots?
How do you figure it was too easy for them to win once? You obviously don't realize the immense odds against a person winning once, much less twice, three, or four times in a lifetime.
The person who won was simply lucky enough to beat the astronomical odds. There were hundreds of millions of losing tickets in order for that one or two people to win.

BOHICA* Illinois, another twist from Northstar coming
Hmmm... just saw this new game this morning... thanks for the info folks.
Boy, I sure do like the transparency of the TX lotto website... can easily drill down to the AoN payouts to get a feel for how this IL game may roll.
The IL twist of a GL grand prize + 250K gives this game an interesting niche... 1 in 13Mil odds vs. IL lotto grand prize of 1 in 20 mil odds, but yeah, the middle tier payouts/odds of this game are weak in order to support that GL option... it is tempting though

Beware Of The Halloween Millions (Millionaire) Raffle!
You are welcome meeeeetoooo. As you can probably tell, this is one I am staying away from also. I don't like open odds, especially with a price of $10 a pop.
Now that I think about it, odds on this game do not really exist since they have made a probability factor impossible to determine. One can only imagine a possibly factor, or in layman's term... guess.
