Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot? I was actually surprised at the original topic question here in the Math Forum of all places. This question usually shows up regularly over in the pick 3 forums. Pretty obvious isn't it ? Sure, it's very obvious to most of the serious hobby players out there. Of course......math and logic improves the Odds. Years ago....didn't we already cover this? Yes we did. We did a short demo version ....and proved the val

Can math and logic improve chances of winning a jackpot?
Seeing a pattern does not imply influence, its just another way to get BETTER ODDS on a spacific draw.

AZ Fantasy 5 - July
I agree. Like I said in another thread yesterday, any improvement in odds is better than no improvement. Anytime you can hit 3 of 5 using 6 numbers you way ahead of the game, and prove that BETTER ODDS is a not too difficult accomplishment. Excellent work.

Mega Millions lottery game's redesign aims at bigger jackpots, better overall odds
Since I play the same string of numbers on both Powerball and Mega Millions, I don't care if the odds go to 1 billion to 1.

Mega Millions lottery game's redesign aims at bigger jackpots, better overall odds
Ninety nine point five percent of players don't care about odds, only the size of the jackpot and price of a ticket.

Mega Millions lottery game's redesign aims at bigger jackpots, better overall odds
I was once a fan of big jackpots........but now its just getting ridiculous, how can you take a game with with impossible odds of winning and make the odds worse and try to sell that. At some point our elected officials have to step in and stop this nonsense. It's getting way it out of hand. I know at the end of the day it is my my decision to play but I would like someone who represents the people to stand up and say look this isnt right. I would rather there be 100 Million dollar winners than

Mega Millions lottery game's redesign aims at bigger jackpots, better overall odds

Post your scratch ticket results
Yes, luck is the #1 factor. You are right about doing some things to slightly improve your odds with scratchers, but the House odds on scratch tickets are so bad to start with, a little extra advantage isn't enough to make a dent over time. That being said, one of the few things I have found that can increase your odds significantly is the knowledge you have of what has been won in a book (or roll) of scratch tickets at a certain point. For example, if you knew that the first half of

Number predictions...
Yeah, what a tragedy, lucky so many survived. Interesting to see the news go crazy about what happened. I go to a better source to find out what's really going on for any air incidents. One network quoted a mathemetician that said your odds of being involved in a airline crash, are 1 in 1.2 million. Hey, that's the same as the odds on most of our bigger Scratchers games here in CA! I'll take the cash, instead of the crash, thank you.
