Do some number combinations have better odds?
Welcome to LP,
The odds of a win per line played on the back of the play slips show what you can expect and if you're regularly doing better than that then congratulations, you've discovered a way to beat the odds.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
I haven't used a set of 39 in a while. Does anyone know the odds of picking 20 losing numbers out of 59?

Do some number combinations have better odds?
That might reduce their cost per ticket but not get them better odds, so what would be the point?

Have you at times temporarily abandoned MM & PB for the lower hanging fruit
You sound like a really good number picker msharkey2001,
Have you ever tried p;aying a bonus number till it hits? I'm not saying its a perfect system, but you might be surprised and get BETTER ODDS on hitting the bonus ball. On the MM game to odds are once in 46 trys, so anything BETTER is plus and improves your chances of hitting something big.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
The test was similar to the one using BobP's example where his 8 lines used each number once compared to a random eight lines that used some numbers 2 or 3 times. The results were exactly the same as saying any group of 28 numbers should match five numbers in the next 39 drawings plus or minus STD DEV. BobP was trying to show the effect of using all 48 numbers on 8 lines; it wasn't an example of playing strategy. How many one number matches the 8 QP lines produced was omitted so we can't questio

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Yes it happened. Amazing how the odds get cut down to size once the correct bonus number is selected.

Do we lottery players have any rights in game changes?
In regards to Tri State Megabucks Plus I was reading a lottery blog today and someone was saying it's likely that game will be changing to a smaller cash only lottery in the not too distant future.
I certainly hope they don't mess with it. The 1: 4.4 million odds of hitting the JP are even better than the odds for a 5 + 0 on PB and MM and at times the games jackpot gets into retirement level amounts (4 million+). Wished they would stop messing with a good thing.
