Michigan Lottery to debut $50 'Super Raffle' tickets
I don't think the raffle sounds good at all. In the state of Mass., their July raffle has a top prize of $20 mil, with a ticket cost of $20. A much better deal.

Michigan Lottery to debut $50 'Super Raffle' tickets
The most expensive ticket in the Michigan Lottery's 35-year history goes on sale May 7, offering the best odds ever of winning a $2 million top prize. Tickets for the Super Raffle game will cost $50 each, and only 250,000 will be sold. In the June 18 drawing, two players each will win $2 million, 25 players will collect $100,000 each and 4,500 will get $500 apiece. But will folks balk at the unprecedented $50 ticket price? We don't think that's going to be a problem, Lottery Commiss

did you play the raffle in your state?
Yes Ohio's Raffle. Played last time got nothing hopefully I can crack it this time. Isn't funny how Michigan's raffle sold out in 6 days and Ohio can't pay people to buy a ticket?

% of Population Which Play the Lottery?
Florida has a population of about 16 million. As an average about 1 in 13 people bought one of the raffle tickets, but as you say, averages don't always tells us anything useful. In reality, at most 1 in 13 people bought a raffle ticket, but since plenty of people bought more than 1 less than 7% of people bought raffle tickets. It was probably less than 5%, which would work out to an average of about 1.5 tickets for each person who bought any. One thing useful we can figure from those number

Ky Raffle.........
I see they only sold a little over half of the ticket's they need to sell..I really think they should have sold $5.00 ticket's and cut the prize in half in order to sell fast..$500,000.00 in my mind is enought to win and people would buy the ticket's up faster at $5.00 a pop?..

raffle poll
Since Alabama has no lottery (and likely never will), I voted its not offered where i live. However, I did play the Georgia Millionaire Raffle. I didn't win anything this time, but I will play again next year IF the ticket pool remains at 500,000. If they go the way of Florida and sell over a million tickets, I won't play. The Georgia Raffle had a reasonable balance of prizes, IMHO. Of course I'd like to see them add a few more prizes. I'd also like to see the raffle be offered 3 times
