calculate the odds
I have become very interested in studing the odds of winning the various lottery games. It seems that the 5 number game in most cases is the better bet to win rather than a 6 number or a powerball game.Have a question on odds calculation and hope someone here can help. The odds calculation is pretty starightforward and rather simple. (ie; 1/(5/39*4/38*3/37*2/36*1/35)=575,757 to 1 odds) for a 5/39 game. The play ticket usually explains the odds for the various prize levels but also added is what

MUSL "Hot Lotto" $1.7 million ($930,000 cash) Saturday 5/4
On the Pennsylvania Lottery website, your odds of hitting 6/6 is posted as 1:39,959,158. The odds of hitting 6 of 6/69 is 1:119,877,472, but because you get 2 additional free quick picks that is divided by 3 which is 39,959,158 and your overall odds of winning something since they pay for 3 numbers is 1:48. Those odds are close to the odds in California Super Loto which is very popular. FYI the overall odds of getting something in Ohio 6/49 lottery is 1:451.Jack

Sorry I haven't been posting the numbers. The numbers don't really mean that much to me. It is a random thing. I play the odds rather than the numbers. I have a partnership (which has a long story behind) it and the idea of getting the numbers out of can was just to try and open his eyes to the points I was trying to make. The odds are (using a wheeling system) and wheeling 6 numbers - odds are 1 in 9.3 (10.8%). My partner has been playing the lottery for years. I am totally new at it. I am m

Buying More Tickets Does Not Increase Your Odds.
The halving theory of Odds Calculation for MegaMillions (that nobody on LotteryPost believes) One ticket purchased. Odds of Jackpot 1:175,711,536 Two tickets purchased. Odds of Jackpot 1:87,855,768 Three tickets purchased. Odds of Jackpot 1:43,927,884 Four tickets purchased. Odds of Jackpot 1:21,963,942 Five tickets purchased. Odds of Jackpot 1:10,981,971 Six tickets purchased. Odds of Jackpot 1:5,490,985 Seven tickets purchased. Odds of Jackpot 1:2,745,492 Eigh

Odds of various games
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 out of 72,770,880. However, the cost of the ticket is $5. So the per dollar odds are 1 out of 363,854,400. There are 72,770,880 possible results so those are the odds against any one ticket (combination) winning the jackpot regardless if the ticket costs 50 cents or $100. If each combination is sold, sales will be at least $364 million, but the total possible combos will never exceed 73 million and the jackpot payoff will never exceed $25 million.

compterized fraud
Honestly, you're investigating and answering questions that are not being asked. When someone asks the odds of winning a particular lottery drawing, you do not say, Well, typically someone hits an average of every 10 drawings, so the odds are 1 in 10 trillion. That is incorrect, and anyone using that logic to explain odds does not understand odds. I'm not going to get sucked into another discussion about what is the odds of so-and-so , because such discussions always devolve into people ap

Lucky for Life
Since I follow and play the C4L game ... the same thing that happens in C4L game for the 2nd prize odds also happens in the Lucky for Life for the 2nd prize odds. The 'printed odds' are actually higher than the 'true odds'. The L4L printed odds for the 2nd prize are: 1 in 1,813,028 but if you use a 'lottery odds calculator' you will get better odds more in the player's favor ... the 'true odds' for winning the 2nd prize. The true odds: 1 in 1,712,304 ... granted, it's not a big difference

Tickets for updated Mega Millions game on sale Saturday
In no way is it better odds of winning a prize other than matching the mega ball. The previous odds of winning the Mega Millions Jackpot were 1 in 175,000,000. The New odds are 1 in 258,890,850. Correct me if i'm wrong but I think the odds of winning the powerball jackpot are about 1 in 195,000,000, which means it will now be easier to win a jackpot in Powerball than it is to win one in Mega Millions. Yeah they made it easier to win a prize all right.. they made it easier to get your one dollar

Mega Millions fuels California lottery sales record
i will be glad to... now i want you take a deep breath and think about this issue removing your emotions (a need to win fueled by irrational thought process's) ...and inserting rational thought(s) instead. this stuff is really easy. someone is always going to win eventually (it could be you). after the odds get high enough that they cannot be covered (like maybe in a pick3 game where the odds are a little more obtainable ), then it becomes a matter of IF you are meant to . i don't see
