So why has the price for Powerball tickets gone up anyway?
If the same number of tickets are sold, there should be 273 5+0 winners because the odds are still the same, but each ticket now will be worth $1 million. The ads are saying bigger jackpots with more millionaires which is true because without winning the jackpot, we couldn't win $1 million on a $1 ticket.
While 546 5+0 winners seems like a lot, when you look at the odds against, it's only 0.000019% of all the tickets sold.

Hoosier Lotto
So for a $5 ticket using those 2 filters, I'm looking at about 1 in 330,000 to win the jackpot. Not exactly the best odds, but still way better than 1 in 12,271,512, and for a jackpot game
So by playing $10 of quick picks and $5 of system picks, are you saying you prefer odds of 10 in 12,271,512 to 1 in 330,000 or you aren't sure yet that your system picks are better than quick picks?

Powerball at $2.00 - Does this change cut in to your budget more?
No cutting into the personal budget........Just the amount of the powerball budget.....Charging me twice as much for a 10% reduction in odds ?....

Do you REALLY expect to win?
with odds of 20 to 100 million, no, just buy one ticket every so often to donate money to those poor school children.
if i ever master the p-3 with 1,000 to 1 odds, i may consider realistically hoping to win a jp. but until then, it's just a fantasy that 99.9% of the players will never see come true in their lifetime.

The larger the state...worse odds?
Hi - This is my first Lottery Post.....
I live in California. We have (over) 21,000 retailers who sell scratchers. I often feel the 'odds' of finding a big winner, say $20K or higher, particularly daunting compared to smaller states with less retailers. I have been playing scratchers for years and the biggest wins were 2 $100 on the new $10 game. Ugh....guess I'll keep scratching lol!
Does anyone else feel the same way?
PS...I am jealous of the states with 5 million $ scratchers

Are pre-draws corrupting your lottery strategy ?
You really gotta share a link with everyone here so we can all learn your awesome mathematics, really man, this is great stuff!!
Am i denying a never drawn list? I just posted one, perhaps you missed it again, just like all those other facts i have posted.
You are mixing up some things here. Ofcourse a number can go past 1000 draws before showing up, i showed that in that little list i posted half an hour ago which has info on all the states. And i know, it is a little list, one might have

We Can Be Our Own Lottery And Win Every Time That We Do Not Play.
Hey Thrifty, I know what the odds are winning a particular jackpot, what are the odds of me winning ANYTHING if I don't buy a ticket?
Dude, you've beat that horse to a pulp.

Powerball Changes Coming Soon
I won't play PB at all. The doubling of the ticket cost is pure greed. It does matter if they raise the jackpot, only one or two tickets will win that - the millions that will pay twice the amount has the same hundreds of millions to one odds. They are making money hand over fist holding that carrot out in front of us. If you do win that large an amount, you'll have to leave the country or face the chaos of everyone turning on you. I'll play the Cash 5 in NJ more. 659,00 to one seems like good o
