Total number of scratch off tickets by game in FL
The Florida lottery does not necessarily print the tickets in sequential order. They skip certain numbers. If a game has 1 million tickets, the serial number on the back of the tickets end at 1.3 million because 300,000 serial numbers (i.e., 001, 002, 004, 005, 007, 010...) were skipped in the book sequence. I dont know why they do this, probably for security reasons. Therefore, the back of the ticket only gives you a rough estimate of where you are in the ticket print.

Calif. man who spent $60K on lottery tickets wins $6 million jackpot
Well, at least the dropbox is on the lottery's security cameras. Though I would want someone taking my own unbrokenup video of the lottery ticket (front and back signature), the claim form, me putting them in the envelope, and me dropping it in the Dropbox.

556 the number! Maximum Security was disqualified last year in the Derby; will be running as number 5 tonight at Delmar. Had a hunch about the 5's tonight. If you used 555 with wild ball then you got a piece of it.

If I ever hit a jackpot and tell you people it was a QP or picked numbers, will I be arrested by the lottery police for a security violation? Could be sharing a cell with Eddie Tipton.

Two Michigan scratch-off winners from the same county win big
Is it normal for states to redact a scratch-off ticket number? I was told it's for security purposes. I'm curious to know if higher or lower tickets have the big winners.

Michigan man wins $4 million for the second time within three years
I see you joined in 2015 so you are probably not aware of the LP story awhile back about Lottery Security in Indiana tipping off someone about where a big winning ticket was sent and how that person went to that store and bought out the whole pack and won. They got caught of course or we would not have heard about it on here.

In reversal, CT Lottery approves $205K settlement in whistleblower case filed by ex-security chief
The Connecticut Lottery Corp. reversed itself Thursday and approved a legal settlement that it had spurned last month with one of its former top officials, who had claimed in a long-running human rights complaint and a lawsuit that he'd suffered retaliation for blowing the whistle on problems at the CLC dating back five years.
In voting 8-2 to pay $205,000 to former lottery security chief Alfred DuPuis, the CLC's board of directors closed the book on one of several lingering legal disputes th

He's cellphone. The lottery is not going to allow someone to openly display a firearm on their premises, unless they are security. Besides, l doubt he is fast enough in a draw, whether he thinks he is Johnny Ringo or not.

Where do you go to buy your tickets?
If it's pretty clear they're trying to cheat you, then chances are they've been trying to cheat other customers too. You should contact your state lottery to make a complaint about that retailer. Most state lotteries have an investigative/security division. Good luck to you.
