"Big Bills' - new scratcher from New York
According to the NYS Lottery website, the odds to win $500.00 on this $5.00 game are 1 in 2,100.
Am I reading the website correctly? Normal odds for a $5.00 game are at least 1 in 30,000.

It appears the lag in better winners is happening everywhere. In PA I came across what you describe
although the difference is that the stores where I used to be able to go in and buy 1 - 2 and get a $100
no problem, have been giving $20/$10. I do not buy 10 at a time of $20/$10 tickets and only go up to 2/4
on $5 tickets per store. My feeling has always been that if the winner is there, it will be either first or
second one out...I can see the 10 ticket purchase working but I like t

Does Mathematical Innumeracy foster superstitions and support the belief in them?
So if I understand your question, and I'm not postive I do, then the answer is generally yes.
An example that has to do with lottery is that Mathemics can have effects on how we play a game like Pick 3, and people find these magic systems that can guarantee, say a 2 if 3 if singles come up. But then people think about their odds as 1 in 8, which clearly isn't true, because they never thought about why they have that guarantee. Using math, you can prove the formula to be true, but most pe

Anyone else earning a living on the Pik 3?
Hello addai, how's things going in PA? I was fortunate enough to hit for $158,000.00 in the NY Lottery but spent too much time and too many systems, including software, to hit. So being mathmatically gifted I figured that being the odds of hitting the lottery is in the millions to one why not zero in on the PIK 3. The odds are 1,000 to 1 and with a lot of tracking patterns and trends I am able to reduce the odds to about 33 to 1. Along with a unique wagering system that I developed, the longest
