Michigan Fantasy Five
I have never lived in a state where a RNG is used to select lottery numbers. I lived in New York State close enough to The New York - Pennsylvania border that I did drive over to PA and buy many Pennsylvania Lottery Millionaire Raffle tickets which uses an RNG. Although I'm not generally in favor of RNG's, I was willing to play The Millionaire Raffle because the odds were so low to win a million bucks (125,000 to 1) that I looked past the fact that an RNG is used to select the winning raffle tic

Winners across Spain celebrate results of 2019 El Gordo Christmas lottery
El Gordo doesn't just mimic a raffle, it IS a raffle. The raffle games that were introduced in the United States starting around 10 years ago were a direct attempt to bring an El Gordo-style Christmas game to the US. It was only partially successful because most states have abandoned the format.
The article does mention about the prize amounts, stating both the top prize amount, as well as the payout amounts of a decimo (one-tenth of a full ticket) and even how much a 1 euro purchase would re

Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle XXVIII
I'm in a pool at work and I had mentioned to the guy who runs it that PA Millionaire Raffle tickets were for sale. He usually buys MM and PB tickets for the pool, and he said although he thought the odds were hard to ignore with the raffle, he wasn't sure if others in the pool would want to spend 20 bucks on one ticket that might win one million dollars when he could buy 10 PB tickets with that same 20 dollars that could win multiple millions. I agreed with that.
Yesterday he sent the email

UK Lottery botched raffle draw results
Winning tickets worth millions may have been discarded
Five players in a UK National Lottery raffle missed out on becoming millionaires after a technical fault on its website hid winning tickets, it can be revealed.
A temporary page on the National Lottery website hid raffle prizes worth 5.45 million (US$7 million) from players in a 2016 Lotto Olympic Medal Draw, meaning winners may have been misled into discarding winning tickets they thought were worthless.

Draw games versus Scratch-offs?
I'm an online games guy. Mostly Take5, and a little Cash 4 Life, but I did play Mega last nite, and I'll buy PB for tonite. But I'm gonna buy those PB tix's with a slight twist...
I'm driving over to Pennsylvania today to buy their New Year's Millionaire Raffle tickets. The raffle drawing is tonite, and they haven't sold all 500,000 tickets. Because last Wednesday I had a 4 out of 5 Take5 hit, I'm gonna use Andy Cuomo's money to buy 5 more Millionaire Raffle tix. While I'm there I'll grab som

Any Update on New Years's Raffles?
Anybody know the situation with Connecticut SuperDraw Raffle tickets and also Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle tickets? Whether or not tickets have been sold out etc.
The Connecticut Drawing is on January 1st and PA's is on January 6th. No Florida Millionaire Raffle this year.
Thanks. G5

New Year Raffles?
Shame, but understandable. Raffle tickets are a struggle to sell. Not just because of the price, but also the long wait for the drawing. Somewhat surprised PA Lottery still conducts such raffles despite the expense and relatively low profit margin (30%-40% verses usual 50%) compared to regular numbers games. Glad it's still available. Will likely buy a ticket or two.
As to why it's still offered. My guess is many loyal players expect there to be a raffle, though despite not earning much itsel

Virginia Lottery wasn't quite ready for Mega Millions game changes
Spot on! PA Lottery Millionaire Raffle 22 back in Jan-2016 sold 348 tickets in error after the Jan-2nd, 8 pm deadline with a draw date of Apr-14-2025.

From what I recall, some lotteries stop selling Mega Million and Powerball tickets after the cut-off time for the remainder of the night. Mainly to reduce player confusion as to what drawing they're participating in, but also to reduce chance of selling ti

Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle - XXIV
The final column is very short and easily missed. It's shown in the PDF I downloaded around 10:05 pm. However, there have been mistakes in the past with raffle results, so anyone with a ticket should double-check the list and/or scan tomorrow at a retailer.
In regards to early-bird, including all tickets from past weeks would have been fantastic. Since many regulars feel the raffle isn't worth playing early, it would be a huge help going forward. Time will tell whether the PA Lottery allows t
