Discovery - New PA Raffle Game Change
Sales are worse than I would have guessed. Maybe the large surge near the end won't happen. But assuming there is a typical surge in the last 5 or so days, 350,000 is possible. I'd be surprised if sales hit high 300s, let alone break into the 400s. Not seeing that happening. End of October seems a lousy time to end the raffle. However, if winter holiday instant tickets are released in late October, that could boost raffle sales somewhat. I don't foresee the PA Lottery delaying the raffle draw

Illinois Halloween Raffle
Considering the budget fiasco in Illinois and the non-payment of any prize of $25,000 or more, does it make any sense to buy tickets this time? This would be a great chance for the players to send a signal to the lottery but far too many of them aren't even aware of what's going on. What do you say? If you were in Illinois would you buy a raffle ticket for this one?

Discovery - New PA Raffle Game Change
Hard to understand why that would be ... a raffle game is different from a regular game where several people can play the same numbers. A raffle with each number only printing once unless there is some funny stuff going with the computer program picking the winning numbers and with information where the purchase location was. That would ruin the raffle over time and people would lose interest ... thinking something funny is going on. CW

What if the PA Raffle Prize Structure Was Changed ?
Changing the prize structure might help a little, but the main issue with the PA raffle is poor marketing. Sure, it's widely advertised and easy to play, but for many players, it doesn't seem compelling enough. A bright, colorful $20 instant ticket touting zillions of dollars in prizes seems more exciting and worthwhile than a piece of paper coming out of the terminal. Also, relating to that is the extended time between play and drawing. While many players are ok waiting a few days to a week

Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle is Now SEASONAL
Yup, you read that subject line right. I'd post a link but couldn't figure out how to do it. Click the PA Lottery's website's About Us News link, and then click on the For Retailers link. Page 2 of the July 2015 newsletter for retailers has all the details. Tix are still 20 bucks and the first drawing is October 31st. There'll be a raffle four times per year as it is now seasonal . G5

PA Raffle Tickets on Sale - Drawing July 11, 2015
PA Lottery posted a press release a little while ago. And towards the bottom of it, they mention the exact number of tickets sold: 462,070. Officially not a sell out. Same prize structure with 400,000 tickets would be nice, but not likely. $5,111,200 prizes on $8,000,000 sales would be ~64% overall payout. All PA numbers games are in the 50%-58% payback range with Treasure Hunt, reportedly (not confirmed), paying out 55%-58%, and Cash4Life 55%. PA Lottery could easily go upwards of 70% ove

States pull the plug on Monopoly Millionaires' Club
Other lotteries have successfully motivated players to play consistently even when jackpots are low by including the raffle feature that MMC has. The MMC raffle is complicated somewhat. If MMC guaranteed one ticket will win $1M every drawing regardless of whether there is a top prize winner or not, then maybe they stand a chance to save this doomed game. UK has the raffle feature in its Euro Millions and in every drawing, someone wins 1M. That would be enough motivation for me to play consist

Whats you thoughts on MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB?
I tend to agree with you, but I'm curious to see what will happen when the jackpot maxes out, and there is a potential for a large amount of million dollar winners. I wonder if (on a national basis) a very large group of players exists that really understands how the game works. Players that I know personally don't have a clue that it's also a raffle. They typically don't get the fact that the raffle winners are triggered by someone winning the jackpot. If a large group of players that doe

Take5 NY
Ya know how I'm always tellin' ya to go over to Connecticut and get yourself some SuperDraw raffle tickets? I aint doin' that no more! Now it 's Pennsylvania's Millionaire Raffle. It makes SuperDraw look sick. Me and The Boy's at work ditched SuperDraw and we jumped on PA's Millionaire Raffle. FOUR top prize winners of a cool mill, lots of second and third place prizes (a helluva lot more than SuperDraw even dreamed of) and best of all, odds are 125,000 to 1 compared to SuperDraw's 275,000

Monopoly Millionaires game
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't MMC's 2nd tier prize of $1 million essentially a raffle predicated on whether or not the jackpot is won? I ask that because I'm a fan of any state lottery sponsored raffle. For instance Connecticut is currently running SuperDraw , which is a raffle. It costs $10 per ticket, and there will be a maximum of 275,000 sold. (fewer than 275,000 if the end date/time is reached and all 275,000 tickets are not sold) There is one guaranteed top prize winner of $
