Has Ky EVER won a large jackpot?
30 March 2005 is TN's only jackpot win that I found, and that amount was for $13,851,308. KY seems to have better odds.

PA Mix 'n Match Game
I live in Pa and have experimented with this game for a while and i can tell you than its not as easy as it may look at first...first the cost per line of play is $2....It is not an attractive jackpot game because of two things 1)the jackpot is a 1,395,360 shot and 2) the pot starts at $50K grows slowly by only $5K...Compare the odds and pot with Cash 5 which has lower odds (1:962,580) and grows much much larger pots than mix and match...the only incentive is that you can hit more low tier prize

Tennessee Lottery (What a rip-off)
Before You Gamble: Know the Odds!
Gambling should always be viewed as entertainment and a way to have fun not as a way to win or make money. When you gamble you can hope to win, but the odds always favour the house. In essence you are paying to play the games. In most circumstances, and for most people, the more you play, the more you will lose.
So before you gamble, you should know the odds of winning and losing so you can set limits for yourself on the amount you are prepared to be

Florida Fantasy5 (Will work on this first)
I believe that some people have the nack to pick winning numbers on a regular basis. Something in the way they see numbers is right on the money (pun intented). Just like there are people that can learn the piano or violin in a month or even a week. Every field has it's geniuses. Unfortunately I'm not one of those. Systems or strategy DO work so I choose to use it. If I didn't feel it was possible to win I wouldn't play. I have read the odds for many games and it doesn't stop me because as long

Florida Fantasy5 (Will work on this first)
Just my $.02 but personally hitting a solid 5 of 5 (or 6 of 6, etc...) is the goal, no matter how it is hit.
As for evens and odds, ones, tens, twenties, etc...perimeter numbers, inside numbers and what have you, no lottery is ever going to offer anything that predictable.
As we all know, odds against hitting lotteries are in the hundreds of thousands to the hundreds of millions.
Odds against making a 6 and 6 on a crap table are 6 to 5 and people go bust bucking them, think about that.

Tennessee Lottery (What a rip-off)
When the ticket has overall odds of 1 in 5 to win something, it doesn't mean every fifth ticket is a winner and it's sad that people don't understand the odds against them. If a scratch-off game pays out 65% and has a $500,000 jackpot, about $770,000 must be wagered and lost just to payoff that one ticket.
They can call it a rip-off because they won nothing or buy another $110 worth of tickets and get ripped-off again.

Old People Always Win
You seem to know the probabilities; if the majority of players are older, the older players should win the win the majority of jackpots. How do those probabilities improve odds for the players in that demographics?
Do you really believe the odds favor a 66 year-old winning the jackpot after they and a 22 year-old both buy $5 worth of QPs?

What are the odds Pick 3 and 4 ? anybody - math wizards
This has probably already been discussed but what are the odds?
Pick 3 start 1000 to 1 straight with 1 draw - then with 4 predraws does this equal 5000 to 1 ?
Pick 4 start 10000 to 1 straight with 1 draw - then with 4 predraws does this equal 50,000 to 1 ?
Thanks

powerball changes
Yeah, I looked it up, you're right.
All these changes are starting to get old. They can't just keep adding numbers, before too long we'll have 1 in a billion odds. They need to jostle the lottery directors for a raise the payout %, that would make a big difference with no change in odds.

As Fla. lottery sales slow, schools stand to lose
Lottery sales are still expected to grow from this year's $1.28 billion.
IMO I think the state is making a ton of money, considering the current economy. What do they expect with all the foreclosures, high unemployment and inflation?
Lollipop, maybe we should start a poll. I disagree that many people in FL drive to GA, but I could be wrong. From my neck of the woods, it would take me an entire day to get to GA and back plus around $100 in gas. I can see driving from Jacksonville or the
