Question for You about Name Similarities ...
What are the odds of two John Smiths having social security, telephone and house numbers and cities so similar that they could be confused?

Tn RNG Drawing 077 multiple times.
Maybe the math professor didn't make a mistake. Without being there we have no way of knowing what the professor actually said, or what they were asked. The odds of 077 being drawn 3 times in a row are 1 in 1 billion. Of course the odds of any 3 drawings having the results they actually had are also 1 in 1 billion. The article in the ness forum quotes a professor as saying the ods of the same combination (not permutation) occurring in 3 of 4 drawings is less than 1 in 10,000, but what actually h

Tn RNG Drawing 077 multiple times.
No player does have to beat those odds.
1. For starters, nobody is forced to play the lottery, regardless of what the odds are.
2. Second, you don't have to pick the winning number three times in a row in order to win. If you pick the right number (or a permutation, if you play the number boxed) for any day you win. The odds of picking the right permutation are 1 in 1000. When there are 1000 numbers to choose from, it's a pathetic commentary on our collective ignorance that many adults wou

I'll never win any Jackpot
Back to the ranch:
I see things that hit with 80% accuracy - but they are not numbers. For example, I can tell you which group/decade to NOT play more than one number in, I can tell you which ones are cooling down, and if you look, you can see which 'decades' have hit in the last two games, and you can largely avoid more than one number from those, too. But you still have to pick ONE number to play.
There are many other things I notice, but, as an example, those things do little more than

Close in Florida Fantasy 5
I'm betting a lot of us would take 4/5
There's another thread on whether people consider pick 5 games difficult, and the vast majority said, YES IT IS . Sure the odds a lot better than the jackpot games, but that doesn't say much. The odds are still considerably against you. I've never even got 3/5 so consider yourself lucky and just keep trying :)

Whats the odds probability?
I have, for the first time purchased Mega Million tickets in 3 places (Md/N.J./Ga) Oh, $40 in each state for a total spent of $120. I just happened to be in all three locations being Saturday morning and tonight.
For the mathmaticians, what are my chances of winning the Jack Pot tomorrow night?

Is it possible to make a profit by...
if you buy 100 different numbers your odds of hitting something straight are 1 out of 10.BUT What are your odds of not hitting anything at all? Easy the answer is - there is a 9 out of 10 chance that if you buy 100 numbers straight (and there are 1000 possible straight combinations),the odds that you will lose are 9 out of 10(this means there is a 90% chance you wont get the straight). Which has better odds 9 out of 10 or 1 out of 10?Yup you have a higher chance of losing with this method.Howeve

The next winning Mega Million numbers are..
True there are hundreds of 5+0 winners who win with a QP, which clearly shows that choosing more than three millions combinations randomly is likely to produce a 5+0 winner, but I doubt if a system player is going to come close to buying that many combinations in a life time.
The only real test for a lottery system is to check if it beats the odds at all levels, even the lower tiers. If it's beating the odds on the lower tier prizes then it likely to do the same for the higher tiers prizes.
