Went to District office a few minutes ago to buy 2 raffle tix + Free Green Hornet's. Won $10 bux on Green Hornet so I bought a 3rd raffle. (Lost on the other 2 Green Hornets) Within that 5 minute timeframe that I went to my car to scratch the Green Hornet ticket and went back into the lotto office, I noticed they had sold over 100 Raffle tickets during that 5 minute span. Raven62, The Prize would be $500,000,000 and the Tickets would be Free: They would base the number of raffle tickets you get on the amount of Income Tax you Pay the IRS each Year. Luis - true, BUT Lousiana's raffle is only giving away 1 - $1Million dollar prize =) They are also only selling 300,000 raffle tickets. I'd rather have several chances at winning $700,000 bux vs 1 chance of winning a Mil From LA lottery site: In the finale drawing, one $1 million winning raffle number will be drawn from those sold, along with 20 numbers worth $20,000 each.

Oregon Lottery draws St. Patrick's RaffleReply
Illinois also had a St. Patrick's raffle....against my better judgement, I purchased one of those tickets (I have played like 5 times and never won even $1,000). I also noted that the RNG picker selected heavily from the beginning and the ending and less so in the latter middle where I purchased my ticket. So I guess the strategy of waiting up until the final days or the buying at the beginning was the way to go. In any case, I think I would rather wager $20 on the MegaMillions drawing tonight (

Well, it's now a week since my original post, and we're still not sure whether Pennsylvania's Millionaire Raffle is secure or not. I forgot that LotteryPost serves a broad audience and many here may not be familiar with PA's offerings. Something you should know when judging my skepticism is that PA clearly spells out at their site that the Raffle tickets are retrieved by all the outlets from ONE central server, in SEQUENTIAL order. I run a pool with my coworkers. We have 13 people in it and on payday(every other Friday), we each contribute $4. What I do is buy an assortment of multidraw Powerball and Lotto tickets that cover the next 4 drawings. If we win anything, we usually put it towards more Powerball or Lotto tickets. The worst thing a lottery could do is extending the drawing date or restructure the prize fund! Especially when the raffles have a holiday theme. Players lose confidence in a lottery when a Christmas raffle is extended until Good Friday or a 4th of July raffle is extended to Labor Day.
