Every combination is as equally unlikely as any other. But you didn't address my point, which was why would people rigging the lottery choose consecutive numbers that stand out like a sore thumb and attract lots of attention? That's not how you pull off a scam.

You didn't offer enough information to determine the legitimacy. When the PB and MM jackpots are super high, literally thousands of people form groups and polls, but ticket sales don't indicate any spike with lower jackpots. However without knowing which games, cost of play or any real information, impossible to say if it's a scam or not.

a scam and in most states illegal .......a pool at your work and such is fine but when it out crops to sending money in somewhere then that's when it becomes illegal. most of the time only the ones that start the pool make the money and they can close up shop go home and since its illegal there is little to nothing you can do about it but inform but getting your money back is probably not going to happen

Just do a search for various topics on this site, what was the offer about? It sounds like someone wants to scam people and profit as well as cc info. Go to any search engine and look him up. You have a better chance of reading ebook on amazon too.

TIP: Even though you see a trip in your WO (avg 3x a month is normal), NCEL will more often than not, drop it in the Pre-Draws (scam draws). Count days between when a trip usually drops, normally about 50-60 days apart. Read up more on this in the thread in my signature. Most times, they are not worth it, but they may drop anther one soon as June is the end of their fiscal year and they like to unload some $$ from all the quads and trips that never drop!

If you're not omitting some key detail, it sounds like cashier is stealing from you. Most state lotteries have a security division that investigates retailers that scam players. Email them and describe what happened in detail. It will take a while for anything to be done due to coronavirus, but at least it sets the wheels in motion. In the mean time, don't buy your tickets at that shop anymore.

The IRS still hasn't provided a site for those without direct deposits so people should be very careful of fraud when the stimulus checks are distributed. And there are literally thousands of new charity sites asking for money. The lottery scams are bad enough, but don't get caught in a COVID-19 scam.
