Venezuela Keno...
What ever the odds are I'm sure it's less than having a happy outcome with their current insane leader.

I look at it like this... (odds of winning)
I see it like this. There are 104 chances to win the Usa Mega Millions Jackpot each year. There are also 104 chances to win the Powerball Jackpot each year as well. Thats 208 possible chances to win the Jackpot of either game! In 10 years, thats 2080 chances (and its multiplied if you uy more than 1 ticket!!) Thats not bad at all! You have better odds buying a $1 jackpot lottery ticket and winning the jackpot than you do if you took that same $1 dollar, took it to a casino and tried to tur

How High Will You Go?
The last roll of MM increased the (annuity) jackpot by about $115 million, which means that if it had rolled it would definitely have gone past $500 million. Even with 212 million tickets sold there was at least a 1 in 3 chance of rolling, so I'd say that reaching $500 million is a foregone conclusion. The only question is when it will happen and which game will do it first. The higher odds say MM is more likely to roll, but the longer annuity payout for PB let's them inflate the advertised j

At least 2 lottery winners will split record $370 million jackpot
I know!!! It should have at least gone to $15 million. I keep saying that these lotteries need to focus on high jackpots. People who want better odds with smaller prizes should just play something else. The crazy odds in this game make no difference to people once the pot grows so large and sales would probably be high on an average rate. I have a question though...if if rolled until Friday, it would have been $470 mil, now it's $15 mil, and the winners split $370 mil....so where did that $100 m

$355 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased
It has never rolled once they move the drawing. Then again it has never gotten this big. I'm sure it will be around 360-365 before the actual drawing tuesday night. With the added sales I'm sure a rollover is only a 40% chance. For those wanting smaller odds and smaller jackpots once the states see how much money is rolling in you can forget about an odds reduction at the current ticket price.

Probabilty of Someone Winning a PB & MM Jackpot in the same Week!
It doesn't work like that. Each indivicual ticket (ticket meaning one line of numbers, $1) is up against the same odds of 175,711, 536 to 1. What's really intersting here is that the people saying the second ticket cuts the odds in half seem to be stopping there. When we take it to the point like justxploring did, of $14 reducing pick 4 odds down to being too tempting to pass up for the player, it's Oh no, that's not it. No matter how many tickets are played only one combination can

Probabilty of Someone Winning a PB & MM Jackpot in the same Week!
quote justx Using your pick-4 example with odds of 1 in 10,000 (those are the odds for the Florida Play-4 game for a straight) then according to your theory, buying 2 tickets would make the odds 1 in 5,000 (half) and 3 would make the odds 1 in 2,500 and 4 would make them 1 in 1,250 and 5 would be 1 in 625 and 6 would be 1 in 312 and 7 would be 1 in 156 and 8 would be 1 in 78 and 9 would be 1 in 39 and 10 would be 1 in 19 and 11 would be 1 in 10 and 12 would be 1 in 5 and 13 would be 1 in 2.5

Probabilty of Someone Winning a PB & MM Jackpot in the same Week!
When I say that it's 2nd grade math I'm not being facetious. It really is simple, and I'm not sure what your block is that you can't understand something that really is simple. There may be some morons who think it works the way you describe, but as far as I know nobody here has ever suggested that the odds are cut in half for each ticket played or that there's a geometric progression like the one you describe. The claim that is made by those of us who do understand how it works is that b

Goodbye Quinto (RIP), hello Hit 5.
I think the real reason they killed Quinto was that it frequently had the same cash prize as lotto but at better odds.

State Lottery Raffle Games
..... didn't see any topics dealing with just this one lottery game in particular ... the Raffle lotteries that so many states now have ... I am wondering if others who are interested in these state raffle games would like to share info on what raffle game is current in their state. I live in Pennsylvania and I am figuring Pennsylvania will have another one for July 4th ... since they did it last year and it was a sell out. I did read that Illinois has one that is going for St Patricks Day
