Sex offender wins $14 million Florida Lotto jackpot
giving the number of sex offenders on the population my question is: What are the odds ..What are the odds that a sex offeder would win the lottery...Cases like this make me think sometimes that the lottery is corrupted which is not but it makes you wonder sometimes... More important than winning the state's lottery is the movie Red Planet.. ...

Penn. Lottery introduces new 'Mix & Match' game
The ONLY thing new or interesting about THIS game is you have to get the balls in position drawn to win some of the prizes, which makes for some fancy new algorithms, but it's really shmart of them to make you think that with only 19 balls you have great odds for the top prize.. but read the fine print up there.. the odds that would normally get you 200K on the Powerball might get you only 50K on this game, at twice the price! I'll try it a few times because it's new but I doubt it will b

[C++ Code]A Quick Pick generator for PowerBall and Mega Miilions
No problem. The real reason why I posted the code is because a quick pick generator is indeed the most basic type of lottery number generator there is, however, modifications can be made to increase your odds of winning a prize in the lottery. Now, I'm not going to just post every single one of the algorithms that I use in my own version right away because I want this to be a learning experience for the people who are interested in coming up with their own algorithms. There are literally hundred

New lawsuit claims Indiana Lottery did not award all prizes
About 60,000 prizes weren't available that people were buying these tickets for, Waples said. They said, 'Oops, sorry.' The Hoosier Lottery has admitted to overstating cash prizes in a statement on its Web site. The lottery attributes the problem to a mistake in printing by the lottery's scratch-off vendor that affected up to 2.5 million tickets, which amounted to about $25 million spent on the potentially defective tickets. However, the lottery maintains that the odds of winning w

Winning numbers chosen in Delaware Lottery's first raffle
I don't see anything unusual about it. That's about the same percentage of profits they make in the other games. El Gordo is unusual because it returns 70% of the money in prizes, but 50% is common for USA lotteries, regardless of game. Cash Only always complains about NY's 40% return. What's different about the raffle is not the state's profit, it's your odds of winning a million dollars (much better odds in a raffle game). (In Delaware, it's a better shot at winning $250,000.)
