Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
It doesn't look like too many people are willing to donate $20 to the raffle down here. Out of a million tickets, the Florida raffle has only sold 162,427 of as of this morning. The tickets have been on sale since November 13th (exactly 2 weeks). They're only selling a little over 10,000 tickets a day...though one day I recall they sold closer to 15,000. With only 34 days left till the drawing, if the trend continues and sales stay around 10,000 - 15,000 tickets a day, they're only going to

Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
For Florida, the question is whether or not you think you can acquire one of the 2,034 winning tickets out of the million. From a statistical point of view, it sounds terrible to me no matter how you look at it...there's no way you can perform any type of analysis on a random raffle drawing since you can't really pick which number out of a million you'll get, and what the historical frequences are for each number being drawn out of a million in that raffle. Even if you somehow managed to buy you

Would You Spend $20 On A Raffle Ticket?
I'm leaving for Florida tomorrow and I plan on buying a couple of their Raffle tickets while I'm there. I know we've discussed this in a way but I wanted to get an idea on what the majority of players do given the opportunity. Thanks

Ohio New Years Raffle Starts November 20th!
Ohio New Years Raffle game will start November 20th! Anyone else plan on playing this game? I have been saving $20 per payday since July and as of this Friday I will have $200 saved for it. Earlier this year they had a survey on the Ohio Lottery website asking for feedback on what the price of tickets should be, prize tiers, etc. so it will be interesting to see if they are still going to be $20 per ticket. In previous years, I use to just take $20 out of my paycheck and purchase a ticket

Only 109,999 chances I won't win a million? - Here's my $20! - Gimme a raffle ticket!
Raffle tickets have been a popular item with players in the past. There have been some reported winners here at lottery post. Had a Ga player with a Ga raffle win I think for one. Do a raffle search at lottery post and you may find discussion on the topic.

Only 109,999 chances I won't win a million? - Here's my $20! - Gimme a raffle ticket!
Actually, there are 329,997 chances you won't be a millionaire. Overall, out of 330,000 tickets there will be a total of 309 winners, making the overall odds of not losing your $20 1 in 1078.4. Compare that to a $1 ticket with odds of 1 in 21,568 to win your money back. Right now TN lotto plus is advertising a jackpot of $3.9 million. They don't seem to post it in an obvious spot, but I'll assume it's an annuity, and call the cash value $2 million, or twice as much as the raffle. The odds of

The Illinois Halloween Raffle
I went all the way down to Illinois and forgot to buy my raffle ticket.... I remember at one time it said that it could be extended of not all the tickets were sold. Wisconsin had a raffle and they ran the drawing even though not all the tickets were sold. No wonder that they only ran one raffle! MarkP

The Illinois Halloween Raffle
Hello everyone. First time poster, long time lurker. I ve played the Illinois raffle games for a couple years and never won anything. What s interesting and frustrating at the same time is checking your raffle number when the winning numbers come out. Every time I played I ve been off at least by a thousand in either direction. And that is for a $1,000 prize. Say my raffle number was 10,000. The closest winning numbers would be 9000 and 11,000. So I could have bought 2000 tickets at $20 a pop fo

Dont know if this is a good idea but surely is better than winning the lottery
well i don't know it looks like a raffle but at the same time it looks like a charity...Raffles are selected randomly, we are selecting the weakest link of our community.... i don't know it could be a raffle as well as it could not, i never thought of it...It will have to be research to see wheather is a raffle or not....And i wasn't thinking in Todd of running it i was thinking more of a selected/appointed Treasurer to run it... and what about the other alternative one where we accumulate

Lotto Syndicates
I am at present, running a lottery club at my work. There are 10 of us and it costs $4/payday. With that money, I buy a mix of Powerball and Lotto tickets to cover all 4 drawings(Wed. and Sat.) that take place between paydays. We haven't won any big jackpots yet, I think the most we've won is $52. When we win small amounts, we just buy extra tickets. When Louisiana was offering the $10 Millionaire Raffle ticket, we just happened to win $10 on a batch of tickets, so I polled the members on
