How will the new tax bill effect lottery winnings?
You choose to ignore the fact that corporations have publicly stated they will use the money for stock buyback to enrich their stockholders and give bonus to their already enriched execs for bonuses for having a good year . Boeing 18 Billion stock buyback is an example of the corporate welfare, this is not going to .... Are you ready for this... hire people, or increase salaries or bonuses for their rank and file employees. AT T can afford to give bonuses, because they got the other Corporate We

Georgia Lottery denies millions in prizes to winners of scratch-off games
Seems to me that if they can check security videos to find out that the son had checked the ticket to verify if it was a winner, that they can pull the video footage and see who actually bought the ticket. Every time I have bought a scratch off in GA the clerk always scan it before giving it to me. Couldn't they find the video footage of the actual buyer.

But that's my whole point. Had you kept those bitcoins in a company wallet, you could have possibly been taken. I'm not sure, the process isn't like putting money in a bank, there are many steps you have to take to open a wallet and make sure that wallet has a security you can trust.

Lottery rigger warned officials about computerized drawing machines years ago
Tipton's excuse isn't even original. The cyber terrorist in Live Free or Die Hard circa 2007 literally made the same comment. He said he warned the government that a security breach was possible due to a weak spot he found in the codes and no one listened to him, so he decided to use the flaw to wreak havoc and make some money. No one regurgitating commentary from the Die Hard franchise can be all that brilliant. He saw an opportunity and he took it. That's all.

Winner sues Colorado Lottery 12 years after rigged drawing
If a UPS driver deliberately runs over a pedestrian UPS my be financially responsible as the owner of the delivery truck, but they're probably not responsible for the driver's actions in any other sense, so long as they had no indication that the driver might do such a thing. Tipton was taking advantage of his job, not doing his job, when he installed whatever code allowed him to know what numbers would be generated. As such I don't see the lottery as being responsible for what he he did, and un
