Your reasoning does have limited merit. If you're talking about the large JP-style games, then it is an illusion to believe that a system can accurately predict and produce a win. The caveat to this, though, is ironic in that it actually can be done with an extremely hefty amount of money, time, and the tedious efforts of preparing all the tickets.
