Florida lottery raffle tickets being illegally re-sold
Thanks, mylollipop. What a kind thing to say! I know now that the money I play on Lotto with odds of 1 in 22M would have been better spent on a game with 1 in 125K odds, but plunking down $20 per ticket just didn't seem right at the time. I never wrote this, but I made a commitment to stay within a budget for the lottery and didn't want to break my promise to myself. I finally took the money out of the ATM ($100) but I don't know if I would have really spent it all on the raffle tickets. On

Georgia Lottery's Millionaire Raffle tickets going fast
Does seem like the raffle lotteries offer the best odds; probably why they sell out so fast.

After just two weeks of sales, more than 40 percent of the game's tickets have been purchased. Georgia Lottery players have their best chance ever to win $1 million, but time is running out. Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
Ky Floyd In the case of the Florida raffle the odds of winning with one ticket are 1 in 125,000 because there will be 10 combinations drawn out of 1,250,000 available combinations. Hello. that's a raffle....in the lotteries we are talking about there is one, and only one combination drawn. Quite a difference. All the difference in the world when it comes to odds on various games. And with that, I give up. As long as people honestly think they cancvut the odds in half with anothe

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
1 ticket = 1in14mil 2 tickets = 1in7mil Horsefeathers. If 1 ticket = 1 in 14,000,000 2 tickets = 2 in 13,999,999. Otherwise, using your example, when Powerball or Mega Millions was in the huindreds of millions people with deep enough pockets would be buying the amount of tickets necessary to guarantee a jackpot. But people with the expertise to be able to amass enough money to do that aren't so lame as to fall for this nonsense about odds being halved. And in your o

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
Uh, I know. It's the expected rate of return that changes. And yes, buying 2 tickets does cut the odds in half. That's like telling me that if I buy half of the total combinations in a game, my overall odds are not 1 in 2.

Some people think $20 is too much for lottery ticket
$20 is too much when the odds of getting something back hover around 1 in 1,000.

how many scratch offs would it take?
You only need one to win, but your odds do get better with every one you buy.

Gail Howard systems
I have to confess I didn''t know much about Gail Howard so I went to her site to see what all the hubbub was about. From looking at her site it's seems that she sells systems and books that help you with picking numbers? It also said she has never one a major jackpot herself but has won numerous small wins. An there were a lot of testimonals from people who suppoedly used her system to hit the big jackpots. Just from reading a little bit it seems her system talks of wheeling, balanced wheeling,
