To MUSL and the Mega group
And one day we will look back, remembering when 1 in 146 million were GOOD odds........

PB lower odds = greater payout than MM??
I agree with Prob988 on this one. PB has lower odds but a better reward chance than MM.

Determining a Coincidence or Possible Trend
We need to decide if we are talking PB, or MM, or Pick 3, or what, because we all seem to be discussing odds of different games.

What was the deal with Powerball?
Shane3- such thought patterns are common. Its common for a person who thinks its amazing if ya toss a coin and it comes up heads six times in a row! Same theory applies with the pulling of balls from a machine. The fact is- the odds are 50/50 each time the opportunity to flip a coin exist.
One ball series of draws doesnt determine the next series is all I am saying. the odds stay the same. enough said.

Multipliers : Are they a good deal?
When I play Powerball and MM I cover all possible mega/power balls but without Powerplay. Considering the cost and the long odds of winning I'd rather get another set of numbers than a multiplier.
If you play covering all Powerballs and Powerplay the odds of the state actually coughing up 41 million extra in cash would be very low.

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
All right; it's nice to see a PB or MM opening jackpot won. It conveys the message that the odds aren't insurmountable.

Everyone works so hard
dvdiva,
Beating the overall odds of winning something for one or two dollars isn't good enough, I would like to win a second or third prize sometimes even if I don't win a jackpot. I'm still compiling a list of ideas that may improve my odds of winning something and there may be an idea on your list to add to or remove from my list.

$200 Million Jackpots
$200 million jackpots are expected to be rare, because it's more likely the jackpots of both games will be won before then, despite the high odds against winning.

Wash D.C. Pick 4 09/13/06
How does one explain or figure the odds of DC DAY PICK 4 # 5503, DC NIGHT PICK 4 0553? I believe this is very unusual the same four numbers the same day. Is something fishy? I guess the odds of this are some where in the 1 : 1000000 range. What do you think? Does this happen as a trend or just a freak occurence, this reinforces what some players do, playing the same numbers from the previous play. LOL jarasan
