Oregon Lottery to start new raffle game
Yeah the odds might be 125k to 1 to win a raffle but on a dollar by dollar basis a $20 ticket is like hitting a 2.5 million to one lotto for a buck.
It is just another way to screw with the numbers to make it APPEAR that your odds are so great.
The only benefit of a raffle game to the common player is lack of churn. Only high tier prizes are rewarded. So this lotto makes more sense to play when looking for the life changing score. The reason most lotteries pay out 2 of 5 or 3 of 6 is

Louisiana Lottery Millionaire Raffle game
Louisiana started it's $1 million raffle yesterday. They're selling 300,000 tickets and as of 8PM 02/19/08, They've sold around 45,000 tickets. Not bad for the first day. They're updating the website every hour with how many are left, it's amazing to me how many they've sold. I also spent $500 on car repairs that day, it would be nice if I won

Raffle winner - charm in here somewhere
Hey guys, proud as a pea I am - won 500 on the Delaware Raffle for New Year's Eve!!!!
I have to tell you, I'm stunned. So much difficult news lately to deal with. Tickets were $10 each and there were, I think, 250 winners in the 500 category.
I'm sure there is something to do with this with the charm dreams but don't know exactly what.
My heart and spirit needed this. J

PA Millionaire Raffle
If ticket sales were way under 300,000 a week before the drawing, they might extend it but based on past raffle sales, selling most of the tickets shouldn't be a problem. I believe that Kentucky had to extend the drawing date because sales hadn't reached the break-even point. Ohio and New Jersey didn't sellout but held their drawings on the advertised date with the advertised payouts.
I don't think anyone could guarantee that an Indiana or Tennessee raffle would work that way.
Do you thi

DC Raffle Sales...Not Too Good!
They certainly won't sell 250,000, but I would think their sales would have picked up on this Raffle because Powerball played in D.C. is $300 million, and neighboring MD. with MegaMillions is over $200 million would drive traffic to the stores.
I won zero on Maryland Raffles and I have 15 DC Raffle tickets.
I would prefer to win Saturdays Powerball, and then if I miss that maybe I would have been successful in tonights MM; if not then the DC Raffle.

Kentucky Lottery Lucky 7's raffle draw delayed
Tiggs95 said.........
I see they only sold a little over half of the ticket's they need to sell..I really think they should have sold $5.00 ticket's and cut the prize in half in order to sell fast..$500,000.00 in my mind is enought to win and people would buy the ticket's up faster at $5.00 a pop?..
I see KY listened to you for this raffle but it seems like the higher the cost of the ticket, the faster it sells out.

Added Maryland raffle bonus draw results
yea big deal if you buy a 20 dollar raffle ticket they give you 2 free quick pick mega million tickets. They are doing this to get more people to buy raffle tickets.
so essentially your spending 18 dollars to try and win a million bucks.
We had this raffle last winter and a lot of people were disappointed because they didn't win anything. I know people who played last time and said they will not play this time.
I only bought one ticket i might buy another. It's a slim chance of winnin

PA Lottery's Millionaire Raffle returns on 7-7-07
Michigan also announced another raffle starting a week after the draw for the $50 raffle...It starts on the 25th and is a $20 ticket.
Who needs Fantasy 5 anymore? They should have a $2 ticket and call it Double Fantasy ... Why buy the Fantasy Fives when you can save your money for better odds at higher prizes with raffles?
At least a Double Fantasy ticket would crank the Jackpots up higher.
With the fast raffle draw turnarounds here I am wondering when this rafflemania will slow do

MI Super Raffle Sells Out
It took less than 3 days for Michiganders to snatch up 250,000 $50 tickets. Wow. I didn't think they would go that fast. We sure love the raffle games. I mean we have had three already and they all have sold out in a very short time. This was the quickest even though it was $50 a ticket.
It seems weird though because like other states have raffles for $5 or $10 and they can't even sell the amount they were looking to sell. How come we sell them so quickly?
