The odds would have to be over 300 million to 1 to take in the amount of players that could possibly play for the jackpot. Plus they would be shooting themselves in the foot if they raised the price of a single play to $2 unless they included a multiplier with that $2. Who is going to buy those $2 tickets with over 300 million to 1 odds. $1 per play is the way they can get people to spend more money and give them an option of having something like a multiplier or powerplay added to the ticket

Shhhh quiet, I don't want too many people knowing. Actually yes I do, I want it to get even higher. Awhile back I believe it went to over a million or so. Would love a shot at those odds again for a million. But don't remind me, I am trying to save up for the match 6 and powerball. But the odds are good for the cash 5, as someone usually wins it everyday. But also a lot of multiple winners.

I think if the odds are over 300 million : 1, the starting jackpot would have to be at least $25-$50M to at least get some sort of attention. Think about it: 42 jurisdictions, a minimum of $1M in sales per jurisdiction per drawing, and ridiculously high odds... Hmmm. And the most important part of it: it MUST be drawn with balls. I wouldn't even consider playing it if a computer is involved.

Hello, Many systems could be considered Winning formulas as most of them can consistently beat the odds.The problem is these systems have not yet beaten the odds to the point where they would be profitable or pratical. Current systems that are publicly available seem to elimiate too many possible comblinations therefore they eliminate the winner,or they generate so may possible combinations its is not profitable or pratical to play them all. I don't think anyone considered duplicates or what other people do regarding playing in the same pool. So, another play on that drum of CDs.   He goes and picks out a ticket and stands by the wall.   The other guy is his partner and asks what his odds are, CD says 175,711,535 to 1.
