Illinois Gets raffle
I don't want to knock the CA lottery raffle, but personally I like the 500,000 ticket format. I wouldn't play it if it was more than that. Regardless of what probability and odds theorists say, it's a lot easier being a winner in a 500,000 ticket raffle than it is in a 5,000,000 ticket raffle. Just my opinion.

Illinois Gets raffle
Rick Suffice it to say I'm a 'wee bit' south of you - (closer to Nashville, TN than Chicago!) We go to the store today and there's a flyer for the Raffle on the scratcher vending machines. OK, they're not selling the tickets from the machine. So we ask the clerk who sells the lottery tickets about raffle tickets, and she says, What raffle tickets?

Maryland Raffle Sales End? OK When is the Drawing?
The MD lottery site still says that the sales for the raffle ended today at 6 PM. No word on the drawing date and time or if sales will be extended. Any thoughts or ideas? I was going to buy another ticket, but I guess 7 will suffice. Thanks all!

Most state lottery raffle games sold out
Todd i think the reason for slow sales is the people who do the advertising pulled the plug about two/ three months ago. Went out of buisness or something to that effect. in either event the lottery has air time on all maryland tv and radio shows. but i only catch the add for the raffle intermitantly. Rdc137 maryland rakes in about a 1 1/2 million bucks every day on their other games. But the advertising for this game is sparce there are limited posters and no bill boards with the raffle pos

Florida Millionaire Christmas Raffle Sold Out
floridian...while all you state above is true, there is another factor that should be considered; how does the sale of raffle tickets effect other games? One would think there has to be some fall off in sales from the ongoing games. Before moving forward with more of these games it would be prudent to understand the enitre picture from both a reveune and profit perspective. The raffle program returns less then 50% to the state (which it does) and other programs return at least 50%. If the

Florida Million Dollar Raffle Cool Marketing
They started selling the limited amount of raffle tickets this morning (1.125 million). They have a thermometer on the web page showing the count down of ticket sales. Really cool idea. The tickets have only been available for a few hours and already they have sold over 115,00 or about 8.7% of the total tickets available or about 2.2 million dollars. Man! at this rate they will be sold out in about 10 days. Probably less cause people have not had a full day at this yet. F

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
I too have had 'trouble' with what's being argued so passionately in this thread. When I lived in the Northeast, although I lived in New York State, I lived in close proximity to Pennsylvania. Every Fall The PA Lottery (for what I'm guessing is the last 20 years or more) holds their Millionaire Raffle. According to the raffles official rules, a maximum of 500,000 tickets can be sold. The PA Lottery has always advertised the odds for the raffle at 125,000 to 1 because there are 4 top prize w

PA New Year's Raffle 2022 - How many tickets are remaining?
Hi everyone, new poster here. Site is awesome and very informative. Does anyone know how many PA (Pennsylvania) New Year's raffle tickets remain for sale? I tried calling the PA lottery, but they don't answer their phones and ask you to call back the next business day. I'm in Maryland and would like to make a road trip up there if enough tickets can still be had. The VA raffle has been sold out a few days ago. Thanks for any help and good luck to all!

Take5 NY
Casper, Have you ever heard of Connecticut's SuperDraw Raffle? One of your Long Island neighbors definitely has, and he's the reason why you need to remember The PA New Years Millionaire Raffle should you go visit your old neighbors. But ya gotta do that before the end of this year.... Two years ago, CT held one of their July 4th Superdraw raffles. (A max of 275,000 tickets sold @ 10 bucks each for one player to win a cool million bucks) On The Memorial Day weekend prior to the drawing, a guy
