OH Lot 'O Play- Drawings
NoCompLotto wrote: AFAIK, the jackpot has not been hit since the game was introduced. I thought the odds were supposed to be BETTER< not worse. Shows you why the payouts are so low - no one can hit the JP. As I stated in an earlier post, the facts will speak for themselves over time. The odds of winning is 1:75,287,520 but because you get twelve ways to win it's actually 75,287,520/12 = 1:6,273,960 for a $2 ticket and the SLP was 1:13,983,816 for a $1 ticket which was actually 1:6,991,908

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $262 million

Yet when there is a winner, the media eats it up, and milks it for all it is worth. So their analogies are kind of contradicting, and don't make any sense. But maybe they are playing off the fact that people secretly want to beat the odds, and be known to have done so. Regardless of what they say publicly. I wonder if their chances increase that all those bad things will h

Why odds 167 and 333 in Pick 3 ?
A Boxed Nomatch number can be drawn 6 different ways. If you played 123 boxed in could be drawn as 123, 132, 213, 231, 312 or 321 and you would win. No matter what number you play there are ALWAYS 1000 possible outcomes to any Pick 3 drawing. To get the odds for a boxed nomatch number simply divide the 1000 total possibilities by the 6 you need to win with!1000 / 6 = 166.66... Rounds up to 167A Boxed Double Digit number can be drawn 3 different ways. If you played 223 boxed in could be drawn

Winning Coincidences?
It might clue you in to the likelihood that winning the huge multi-state lotteries requires that a player buy a relatively large number of tickets to shorten the odds.

Who here is a $1 Quick Picker.
.If your speaking of jackpot games, then I guess you would be correct, because it wouldn't really make a dent, buying 100 qps, when the odds are in the millions.

PA Unlucky for Life
I guess the evil empire decided to come up with another, better low-matrix game for PA .Easy Money LottoPick 6 from 36Price : $1Jackpot begins at $500,000 30-year annuity, or $250,000 all-cash. And if and when it reaches $2,000,000 annuity value, the jackpots rolls down to the lower tiers. I could have just had it roll on until won, but PA already has 3 different games that do that. Prize Rolldown Prize Odds Match 6 Jackpot* N/A 1 : 1,947,792 Match 5 $1,000 Approx. $5,000 1 : 10,821 Match 4 $20
