next 8 pb jackpots
If it happened in the Big Game (Mega Millions) when the odds were only 76 million to one, it could happen in Powerball.

Lottery odds are not as bad as you think
By the time all the combinations have been drawn, there will have been many repeats. It is only the small size of the sample that makes it look like combinations aren't drawn again. The old Florida 5/26 game had about 11 jackpot combinations repeat over time. Gail Howard software shows, pairs, triples, quads and quints, the idea of stripping out past three and four number combinations from your Pick-6 choices isn't a good idea. The only way to lower odds is to play more numbers. Picking 9 nu

Smash the MM odds...it is easy!
Odds of 1 in 3,819,816 do not justify spending $44 for a single drawing, at least not for me.

Lottery odds are not as bad as you think
How does subtracting 100 combinations per year affect 82 million. To round the remaining odds up, you are still left with 82M combinations. The combinations do not come up again because the odds are too great for any combination drawn to match previous ones not surprising. The only advantage one has is that you stay away from combinations like - 1 2 3 4 5 - 6. (odd to great) Plus, because random numbers have no memory, it doesn't play fair or balanced. It is likely to repeat it's leading numbers a

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
You're welcome. As was the case with the recent MM run-up, we are entering a new area, because the odds have changed. But a crude estimate assuming sales from late May of this year when the jackpot hit $220 million, I'd estimate that the probability of a $300M prize would take three more rollovers, with an overall probability of around 30-35%.Keep in mind though that a $300+ plus jackpot may not be equivalent to what Jack Whittaker won. Besides lengthening the odds, Powerball has messed with

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
What would you say the odds are of it breaking 300 million? Thanks for keeping up on the projections.

No more systems disscussed
As far as I know, no one has ever posted a system that made more than it cost to play over a decent period of time with the facts to prove it. Systems are like players, they get lucky and win something some times, but they don't win constantly because the odds aren't in their favor. Lottery commissions expect there to be winners so someone winning once in a while is no reason to change the games if they are fair. I would think lottery commissions would like system players because they probably

Scratch-off Blocks
Logically if a State keeps half the sales as profit, then scratch-offs can only pay 50 on the dollar overall, so odds are if that game has a big pay-off some where in the State then a blocks of tickets will pay less than 50 on the dollar unless it has that jackpot ticket. That's what I don't like about scratch-offs, the odds are good that someone will win a big prize, but that winner has to buy his ticket in the single store which has the winning ticket. If you're buying your tickets at any o
