I don't play scratch-off games for philosophical reasons. When you pay your money, you have to take what the clerk gives you. Much like a quick pick. If I lose, I want to lose with my other numbers. Then it is my own darned fault. The other reason not to bother with scratch-offs is that the odds of actually winning something significant are better with Pick 3 and you can pick your poison.In Texas the official odds are fraudulant. They count paying a dollar and winning a dollar as a win. I

You know Illinois has a $2.00 ticket that offers $50,000 yr. for life. then all of our $10.00 tickets offer top prizes $1,000,000 dollars. Then our 1st $20.00 ticket which we have had out only a couple weeks now has a top prize of 2 million dollars. Which the $20.00 ticket has pretty good odds on it which is 1 in 2.75 odds on even break prizes. Illinois offers Instant games in $1, $2, $3, $5, $10 and $20 dollars.
