Powerball Matrix Change?
Ouch a 400 million dollar loss in sales thanks to how poorly the game has been going lately. Powerball also needs to dump the lame rules regarding record jackpots. It's not exactly something they have to worry about unless they change the game but having limits on how high a jackpot gets will only dampen sales once a new Megamillions cracks all the Powerball records.Sadly the story also quotes some lame professer saying basically with the current odds they should get larger prizes. Same poor mat

Texas Lottery Approves Mega Millions Changes

Personally, I'm glad the $300-500 million jackpot never happened, since I don't think anyone really needs more than $30 million and having more winners makes it more fun....Well now we really get to the root of it. People who like free choice and those who don't. This isn't the CCCP is America and you should have a choice. If you don't like games with big jackpots and terrible odds then don't play. There are plenty of state games with small

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
Wow it was hit yet again. 120 million to one seems really high odds for a 10 million jackpot game.

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
Well, lucky for the winners obviously, but I also meant just random chance. If states are going to have a game that isn't rigged, streaks of both winning and not winning go with the territory. I don't think JQP is luckier than the states - even if there was a winner every time, there would be millions of losers out there, but the states make money on even the lowest of jackpots.Quote: Originally posted by RJOh on March 16, 2005Quote: Originally posted by tg636 on March 16, 2005If that's the cas

Texas Lottery Approves Mega Millions Changes
I personally would like to see even less Megaballs with greater odds coming from an increase in white balls with bigger prizes for 5 white balls and no Megaball.

Texas Lottery Approves Mega Millions Changes

My gosh the odds are overwhelming now at 1:135 million to change it to 1:175 million wow I am sure that there would be some huge JPs. But my opinion is of little value as I am sure the lure of big JPs will win out which is OK. I am fortunate enough to live in an area that borders a Power ball state so I shall just put that extra into power ball rather than Mega Millions
