How much would you pay?
I would never pass assumption#7... I am not absolutely convinced with the results of any system that hasn't put $$$ in my pocket (including my own experiments )Given the fact that the 6/49 odds are so high that a 90% reduction is still outrageous (and the odds as displayed is not a reduceable fraction) I wouldn't pay more than the cost of the ticket I could buy on my own... $1, especially for another black box approach... and that would only be ONE time. Unless of course the system produced a

An Idea for Mega Millions
I like big jackpots and if MM does get to $300-400 million, it would be exciting. I'd be planning to buy an island in the South Pacific next to Marlon Brando's. But I like to see winners, and if someone is winning $10 million a week, that's okay with me. I don't want to see odds changed to make it harder to win, it's already way too hard as it is. No matter what you win, even if you win the lowest amount possible, it's a huge life-changing amount of money. I had a Mass Megabucks season ticket

do you know the difference?
luckycat, I totally agree. That is why I never play slot machines. They program the exact payout ratio they wish to achieve - which is not what I'd call random. If slot machines were totally random, then their odds (payout ratio) would be based on the number of symbols on the wheel, and the number of wheels (much like a Pick 3- or Pick 4-style game). They would never be able to increase or decrease the payout ratio.Yet they are the casino's biggest moneymaker. It is similar to scratch-off games

December: The Good, Bad & Ugly
Quote: Originally posted by lottocheatah on December 02, 2003 It should be obvious. You've reduced the game from a, say, 5/39 to a 4/38. That's getting MUCH closer to that elusive jackpot.Going for the second number: Do you recall that I once told you that one or more of the numbers that hit last draw will hit again next draw 50% of the time? ........Lottocheatah,It should be obvious to you, if you do the math, that every number in a group of 5 has a 50% chance of being in the next drawing wheth

Atlantic Lotto boosts 6/49 ticket prices and jackpots
Odds of winning will also improve when price of Lotto 6/49 ticket doubles to $2Atlantic Lottery Corporation's Lotto 6/49 is getting a face lift - its first since the game's inception in 1982.The changes will see bigger jackpots offered more often, better odds of winning at least something, and a new $5 prize category, all to be funded by doubling the cost of a ticket.Known by most players simply as the 6/49, Lotto 6/49 is one of the most popular lottery games ever. 6/49 is played on average by

SC if you know one number
Ihoped you left before you read the post...LOL Guess we worry to much sometimes. Congratulations, that is great. The trend was your friend. I think that was the last of the odds fireworks and the big finale. You should be getting a 2 number return pretty soon.....it will probably come from those even digits trying to make up lost ground.......when they crank up........hope its not on Monday...I'll retire if comes with 2 odds ....LOL P.S. ....Stick close to good old John over there in SC. ...

NY Lotto: 25 years of ripping off winners
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on November 14, 2003 Even with its cash option, NY Lotto (now 6/59) just isn't worth playing. Matching three numbers wins $1. Four numbers have paid $15 or $13. The best way to get the NY Legislature to allow the NY Lottery to pay Lotto winners their fair shares is to stop playing NY Lotto.I agree. Odds to win a lousy buck are 96 to 1 for a $.50 play. But I have to correct you Cash. The percentage payout is not 40%, it's even worse. They retain another 2%

Are lottery pools legal in Michigan?
I would like to clarify my earlier post where I stated lottery pools are legal in the US. I am using the simple definition of a lottery pool as mentioned by BobP in the previous post. A lottery pool simply being a group of people pooling their money to buy more tickets and thereby inceasing their chances of winning.I would strongly recommend staying away from any group where the organizer is trying to make money from the pool participants. A substantial part of every ticket purchase is already g

HOT! The Lotto Morse Code: Pattern 01234
Sorry, doesn't even come close. The Lotto-Logix method only removes about a dozen numbers, a signifiant reduction in odds true, but only a forth of the playable numbers removed. The rest are filters, it is no problem at all to take a program like Lotwin Lottery Line Builder and enter the remaining 38 or so numbers and setup pattern filters to allow various patterns and disallow the ones that rarely if ever occur, which is the exact amount such combinations can be found in the game. Take away
