powerball strategies
well im not counting on winning and i've never wheeled before. so you think covering more powerballs is best?the odds for 3 pbs is like 1:14 and for 4 is 1:10.5of course matching the white balls have really terrible odds but thats a different story. thats why i only play when the jackpot gets up there i have to have something to limit my spending and there is no point in playing for a small amount since i have to drive more than 300 miles for tickets.thanks hypersonig and good luck if you are pl

powerball strategies
well about 200 when (and if) it gets big enough for me to play. i have to drive like 350 miles round trip to go to oregon. so i was thinking of spending the money like this:3 powerball numbers at 67 bucks each or4 powerball numbers at 50 bucks each.its about the same either way but if im right on the powerball number then my odds are better since i have 67 sets of white combo's. the 4 ball set would increase the odds of having the right powerball number though. thanks for answering.

does wheeling really improve your odds??
No matter what method you use it's about decreasing the odds. The old saying money comes to money has a lot of truth when wheeling.

does wheeling really improve your odds??
often i have considered wheeling systems to actually hinder your chances of winning the jackpot for example one could play a 40 number wheel lets say for example and the cost is $1000 now it takes just 1 of those left over 9 numbers to not be in your wheel of 40 in which case leaves 1000 combinations without a chance at a jackpot win! if you were to play 1000 quickpicks every combination has a chance of becoming a jackpot winning ticket no matter what numbers are drawn! in conclusion of this i

Better chances to win or better chance?
I average $18 per week (2x Powerball @$5 and 2xStupid 6 @4 or less). Given the odds for what I'm after, it doesn't really matter... I'd rather be in for each drawing. But as for the pick 3, I don't really know because I don't play it (but might start, on paper anyway... to check on some system theories). What is 6-way ? is that like boxed? In PA, they have a Super Box that costs $6 and covers one number in all possible combos straight (cheaper if playing double numbers)... If you are just refe

Win the 3 & 4 digit
I agree with the folks about changing your numbers regularly. With odds of 1000-1, your pick-3 straight MIGHT come in once every three years and maybe a box 6 times in that time period. It doesn't pay off.I used to play the jackpot games...absolutely no success with the odds tremendously stacked against you. Now I concentrate on the pick-3. Like someone said, when you get good at the easiest game you then can progress to the next level of play. And if you want to make money on the lottery,

True, the odds and the bucks are with Hot Lotto. However, not many people will travel to D.C. for their tickets.

should megamillions change the rules
I hope that made sense. Perhaps a $1.25 for a ticket would get us more rollovers and keep the odds the same.

the test of a real guru
guru posted 09/03/03I am trying to reach a 90% guarantee of having each time at least 3 numbers correct by picking 10 numbers from a 6/42 lotto.________________________________________________ Remember thomsol who posted one set of numbers using SimuLotto for Megamillions and matched 3? Everyone said he just got lucky, and he must have believed them because he next tried again. Guru could get lucky and pick 10 numbers and three of them be in the drawing. The odds of match 3 in a 6/42 game wi

mega now at 150 - going on up
nope its not - not at 1:135 million odds. plus if i believe no one will win (which i do) why bother wasting my money on this drawing? i think someone will win it either friday or next tuesday - not tommorrow. so i will start playing on friday. plus due to a change in wa. state lottery the prize is very big (45 mill) and the odds are only 1:11mil. so i have been spending my money on that.
