Lucky for Life
I tried 5 more QPs for tonight's Monday draw. The draw was 04 09 16 36 43 + 09. I got #16 on the first line and #36 on the 5th line. I had 5 different LBs, but not #9. I have not played this game more than 2 times a week in the last 3 months and have not won anything with a QP. Hard to believe that I can't get a 2-0 ticket when the odds are 1 in 15. For the Sunday game it appears that they sold about 370,000 tickets out of 23 states, comparing that to Lotto America with only 13 st

Florida player scores $5 million lottery jackpot three years after winning $1 million
Committed lottery player beats the overwhelming odds twice By Kate Northrop Surmounting astronomical odds, one Florida man is taking home a $5 million lottery jackpot after having won a $1 million grand prize three years ago. More specifically, Munib Garvanovic, 56, beat the nearly 1 in 3 million odds of winning the $5 million grand prize for the 200X The Cash scratch-off instant game that cost $20 per ticket. It's even larger than the $1 million prize he won from a Gold Rush Double

Would They Pay It? Can They Pay It?
In my last post I was thinking in terms of someone playing a 'lot' of money on the MM and PB every draw. Here's an example ... let's say someone has decided to spend $60 on every MM or PB drawing ... they can't afford to play both games for $120. So buying 20 tickets for every draw at $3 (with the extra dollar) will cost $60 or $540 a month total. I was just thinking in that situation with a budget of $500 a month for only one game ... the MM game might be the better game to play with the

Wisconsin % All or Nothing %
For the state of Wisconsin this game is not the best cost to odds to payout ratio - $2 for 1 ticket - 1:705,432 odds to win only $100,000. Texas has AoN with 3 draws a day, $250,000 jackpot - but odds are 1 in 2,704,156. So what's better or worse? However - I do enjoy playing it - however flawed I may be. And this game has paid out well for me in the smaller prizes - $40 prize has not been too hard to achieve. Slightly better odds to win $500 over SuperCash, but only b

€190m EuroMillions lottery jackpot will be won tonight, no matter what
Odds of winning slashed to 1 in 7 million The EuroMillions jackpot of 190 million (US$209 million) will have to be won on Tuesday night no matter what happens, with the odds of claiming at least a share of the top prize effectively falling from 140 million to 1 to a considerably more manageable 7 million to 1 due to a never-before enforced rule. Wisconsin man wins $1.19M on his first sports bet
James Adducci flew to Las Vegas from his home in Wisconsin on April 9 with the notion of placing an $85,000 wager on golfer Tiger Woods to win the Masters. Woods had not won one of the four PGA major tournaments since 2008 and was at 14-to-1 odds when the bet was placed at the William Hill US sportsbook inside the SLS Las Vegas. Adducci admitted his first-ever sports bet was a longshot. Golf was so special for my dad and me, Adducci said. We know how it ended. Woods' historic victor

Where's the mathematics?
The advertised odds are dead on for all games. We must remember that the odds are calculated based on random selection. The question that needs asked is, Can we do better than random. Quick picks involve two random events, 1st the PRNG that's used to generate the Q-pick and 2nd the apparatus used in the drawing. Playing self-picks removes one of these two events but the 2nd is set in stone, it's random. Over time the game will mimic advertised well established mathematical odd
