I see scam panhandlers at every highway off ramp intersection in Arizona and Chicago. I do not give anything since majority of them look perfectly capable of working. I am amused when I see those with signs saying they just lost their job and need help, yet I pass by several stores nearby that have Help Wanted signs posted on entrance door. No I will not give one red cent when they could go get a job.

Sounds like a scam that went bad on both sides, the state waiting for someone to try and claim the fake prize and the clerk and manager realizing a prize that size would be fully investigated.

If the clerk had scanned the ticket it would not have given him an amount he was not authorized to pay out. It would have referred the winner to the lottery office. This sounds like a scam gone wrong.

I still don,t understand why some people fall for this one. If someone calls an say I won some money knowing I never entered or bought some kind of ticket,take ur fees out of my winnings,an send me the balance.If they can,t do that its a scam.NO BRAINER.
