Indiana Lottery is a farce!
Odds of winning the Cash 5 are 1 in 749,398 Here are the stats from the last drawing: There were 9223 winning tickets in the last drawing and the odds of a ticket winning are 1 in 9.8 That suggests about 90,500 tickets were sold The probability of not winning the jackpot for a single random ticket is 749397/749398 The probability of there not being a winner with 90,500 tickets is that to the 90500th power = 88.62% So the odds of a jackpot winner in the last drawing was only 11.

So, the lottery has yet to produce a single Billion Dollar Winner.
Given the odds for the game billion dollar draws won't happen very often. In my many analysis I have found that most random simulations will hit within 3 x the odds. The 1.5 billion built very quickly as people went wild buying tickets. In two games it went from 500M to 1.5B which cut down on the number of drawings it took to reach that level. I hope that people come away from this record with the knowledge that more tickets don't really move them any closer. The only real way to inc

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
Anyone had a chance to win the jp. I hoped it would be more winners splitting the pot but at least it wasn't one person. I wonder how many tickets were sold this time around? Odds of 1/292M you'd think it would have gone out last time. I'm happy it went out finally, it's over...for now. I hope many people learned a lesson...for those that went overboard and are fuming/cursing/crying this morning...how about keeping everything in perspective next time? States love the big

Largest-ever UK Lotto jackpot has players... angry?
Camelot...and to think, PA wanted them in charge. Good for the Brits...let them get mad and I hope they don't play. Rearranging odds/balls/payouts/winning combos is wrong for a game that people have played in the past and enjoyed. Don't these suckers realize that making odds worse ticks people off and turns them off too? They just see more $$$$$$. One person will win, how many times must that happen for people to totally get sick of it? How many times can they change the game and

Let me get this straight. The Lotter allows people from all over the globe to play USA lottos?
Well, some time back, maybe a few years ago, it was said to be 175,000,000 : 1 chance of hitting it. Is it the same now, with the matrix changes we've seen? Is it even close to the older odds? That much I know. That's what I was saying sucks about it AND allowing the rest of this crumbling globe to participate. Odds are not only high, but the chance that the jackpot will split multi-ways is horribly real. I'm not 100% about this, but it can't work the same way as a slot machine does

Powerball or Mega millions
In California, Super Lotto Plus JP odds are 1:42M. Compared to MM (1:258M) or PB (1:292M). Cost per ticket weighs into it, as well. PB is twice the amount to play with slightly less chance of winning a JP? It wouldn't surprise me at all if PB lowers their cost back down to a buck. Their sales are stagnant since the matrix change. They should have lowered the PB-count, because its the only reason I'll play MM instead of SLP (15 vs 27 MBs). The JPs might be smaller with SRLs (abou

Are you ready for the attention?
Right now the cash/annuity ratio is very close to .61 for both PB and MM, which means a cash value of $1 billion would require an advertised jackpot of about 1.63 billion. That's unlikely, but it's certainly possible. I've already explained on page 1 how big the jackpot would be if the sales for the MM record were applied to PB's prize pool - the cash value of $474 million would have been about twice as much, at about $950 million, which would have meant an advertised value of about $1.3 billion

Post your scratch ticket results
It could be even worse in the central/western Montgomery County suburbs. I just play sometimes when I can afford to, but unfortunately the PA Lottery isn't exciting at all. Still, like everyone, I hope for that life changing hit. I had a bad first day because all 3 of the new $20 that I got lost. They were from different machines and numbers #002, 004, 006. Not a good sign. Odds of $500 are again terrible. I can't even find a $500 with the better odds $20 tickets. The first day I also boug

NJ Lottery private operator on track to meet budget projections
Mr. Ragazzo. I had to put my a/c on because of all your hot air. For the lottery uneducated, Ragazzo is a Christie political appointee. His real job is he is a real estate agent. He works p/t and gets $5.000 a year for his expenses. Ragazzo, you state that your corporate pal, Northstar, will see a bump in sales because they are getting a near half million dollar credit because of a computer glitch. However Ragazzo, you leave out the fact that Northstar is owned by the company that committed the
