I run to the Georgia and Florida line once a week and load up on scratchers and multiple draw games! Its ridiculous that ALABAMA is still behind! Let's pass this freaking BILL ALABAMA!

$1.15 BILLION: Mega Millions keeps rolling after no winner Tuesday
1-Massachusetts is the state where people spend more money on lottery than other states: $1,037 per capita. is it due to the water or ethnic makeup (20% Irish 12% Italian)? 2-New York spends the most in terms of lottery sale $8,866,286 or $565 per capita. Of course, California takes the second spot. it seems Alabama should have a referendum for whether or not Alabama should participate in the lottery. (the requirement is there).

Proposed bill would let voters decide on an Alabama state lottery
Alabama voted on a lottery in 1999 and the people chose to vote against it. Other bills have been introduced since then but never got to the people. That will probably happen again.

Florida keeps pumping out new tix each month and is over saturating their own market. New tix come out on the 23rd, including a $30 Gold Rush Game for $15 mil :\. Next month will probably see the release of the Holiday edition tix .

South Carolina legislation pushing to allow debit cards as payment method for lottery tickets
Berkowitz may have a valid point about poorer residents spending money on the lottery. Does her organization also target other cash cows like smokes and booze? Correct me if I'm mistaken; hadn't a LP member stated they wish SC would get on line lottery as well? Notice how Alabama hasn't said another word about the lottery ever going to the residents to vote on?
