i think the nevada casino industry's fear of the lottery is overblown. on average, lottery players will win back 50% of the money they spend on the lottery. if a hypothetical nevada state lottery partnered with casinos to let people collect lottery winnings at casinos, a lot of players would turn right around and blow their winnings at the slots or table games. there's potential for them to benefit.

shy1979, When I worked in Vegas casinos one of my shift bosses told everyone who asked why no lottery in Nevada, The joints want it all . Prior to Primm there was a small town not too far into CA that did a lot of lottery business from people from Vegas. The town is basically a railroad stop, Nipton I think. I wonder if Vegas people will go there again. Interesting story on Primm, at the time they opened CA law said to sell CA lottery tickets a business had to have been on location for five year
