Lottery ticket printer grants rare peek at operations
For about 30 minutes this afternoon, Pollard Banknote took the unusual step of stopping its new, instant-lottery ticket press so it could show it off.
We're halting production for a few minutes, not withstanding the fact we've got to get tickets out the door still to pay for this sucker, Doug Pollard, the company's co-CEO with his brother John, said as the din of the press in Ypsilanti was quieted. But we'll fire it back up after.
A mostly family-owned company based in Winnipeg, Canada,

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hi ZZPlay, that's one of the FL Lotto's scratch offs delivered by Pollard Banknote. Pollard is a Canadian company and a significant player in the international scratch off market, even larger than Sci Games and the local yokle FL provider the FL Lotto uses.
The FL Lotto seems to use Pollard Banknote as a Guinea Pig to try various ideas...as their tickets seems to be more innovative as most FL Lotto providers. The $20 Perfect Gift is a first of its kind with the FL Lotto, given its perforate

Officials choose lottery logo; firms put in contract bids
Tennessee lottery officials Monday picked a new logo from 100 proposed designs and learned they will have just two bids to choose from for one major vendor contract and three for another.GTECH Inc. and Scientific Games International were the only two firms meeting Monday's deadline for submission of bids to operate the state lottery's online network, which installs machines for selling tickets to statewide and multistate lotteries.Three bids were received for sales of instant tickets, also kno

California Lottery under fire for giving away $212,500 in Scratchers on 'Ellen'
I would bet good money those free scratchers were mostly duds and small prizes to ensure relatively little money was paid out. CALottery knows very well what is in the every roll they get from IGT, Scientific Games and Pollard Banknote. It is well within their abilities to make sure giveaways don't contain top prizes. Even the most badly managed lottery isn't going to tell IGT Surprise me! and leave the geographical distribution of scratchers prizes up to pure chance. Nobody would be that dumb.

Michigan lottery ticket plant prospering
Ypsilanti's Pollard Banknote instant ticket factory might not make the most scratch-offs in the world.
But Michiganders could still be in luck.
We have made a lot of winners here, said Doug Pollard, co-CEO of Pollard Banknote. This is probably the luckiest plant for winners in Michigan.
The Ypsilanti factory prints about 600 million instant lottery tickets a month for 23 states, the District of Columbia and many countries around the world, including France and Australia. Pollard said

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
The extended play games like crossword and bingo are printed in Canada. On the back you'll see Made in Canada. They're produced by Pollard Banknote of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
That's why I'm surprised with our lack of variety. I believe all we (CALottery) do is pick games developed by various vendors. Other states seem to have interesting games, maybe CALottery is being too conservative and only picking games similar to ones released before.

What state uses what terminal?
I would be more than happy to help out.
I also can indentify scratch-off manufacturers merely by looking at the ticket. But keep in mind many lotteries use several manufacturers to make the tickets. New Jersey, for example, most of their tickets come from Pollard Banknote and their plant in Michigan, but they also buy tickets from the other 3 instant manufacturers in the US, Scientific Games, Oberthur, and Creative Games (based in my hometown of Plant City, FL). So if you want document insta

The Match 6 format has come to Canada!!
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on June 19, 2006Will Canada come up with more Match 6 clones? The Canadian win for life games have cash options.
Maybe, Scientific Games dominates the Canadian on-line market (although they get no Canuck business in their bread and butter instant game division, mostly because Oberthur and Pollard Banknote are based in Canada), and more and more of SG's clients are adding similar games. My guess is SC being the next to add the format. And among Canadian

Lottery Vendors Object to Tenn.-Georgia Partnership
Private lottery vendors say a proposed partnership between the Tennessee and Georgia lotteries would be unfair, expensive, and would hurt Tennessee. The vendors sent a letter to the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation last week, pointing out the risks of such an alliance. The vendors include Creative Games International, Intralot USA, Pollard Banknote and Oberthur Gaming Technologies. The four lottery companies, who have an interest in bidding for the Tennessee contracts, say a Georgia partner
