Money and the Crime of Kidnaping
Speaking of criminals copying keys there's a scary current trend where criminals are copying keys just from the homeowners or residents showing off the key on social media. The homeowner or residents show off their cute, house keys on social media expecting to get likes on how cute, their house key is and also show the cute, house key when using it to to unlock their houses when doing social media tours of their houses. Look at how cute, my house key is and watch me use my cute, house key to unl

Two Canadian lotteries change privacy policies to hide winner's last names in press releases
Winner stories live on forever : Digital footprint concerns in modern age drive policy change
By Kate Northrop
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG)'s recent policy change makes it the second provincial lottery in Canada to hide winner's last names in press releases and publications.
Although total lottery winner anonymity is not a standard in any Canadian provincial lottery, two of Canada's lotteries have taken steps to conceal and protect winner information.

Exactly. Even if you are not a mega jp winner, there will always be a few people who resent the fact that you have more $ than they do (even if you worked hard for it).
People can be targeted for scams when a relative dies as well. They think you inherited a ton of $. I have had to step into scam attempts twice and once when my cousins lost their mother. This woman kept calling them and contacting them on social media claiming she was a secret child that had been put up for adoption. Her ag

You gave way too much detail there and I figured it out very easily.
The problem is often loose lipped relatives bragging on wealthy family members or friends or acquaintances and name dropping. There was no need to mention that level of detail. You put her into danger. You do not think I could also find her address in about a minute? When you give enough info for a reasonably intelligent person to connect the dots and on social media, that is reckless.

Money and the Crime of Kidnaping
Here are a few points that connect my impressions to the latest facts:
The Ring/Nest Video : The footage you mentioned has become a cornerstone of the investigation. Images show an armed, masked individual wearing gloves and attempting to cover the camera lens with foliage before disconnecting it. Experts noted the suspect seemed to know the exact location of the cameras, suggesting a highly pre-planned crime. The Kidnapper's Intelligence : As the detective you heard mentioned, there are sig

No winner again: Powerball jackpot hits $1.6 billion in longest-ever rollover run
Aussie here. The guy in California who won the largest-ever jackpot, has he managed to escape publicity a few years down the track? I know there was a person who tried to claim they were the owner of his ticket or some such nonsense, but hopefully the winner has got a relatively normal life now. Being forced to reveal your identity would suck, you'd have to get off social media for ever I imagine, lest you be overwhelmed with tales of woe and how just $1M of your prize would fix their problem.

By Kate Northrop
One man in Idaho has all the luck he's won the lottery a total of 18 times over the last 30 years.
Will he make it to 20? An Idaho resident is on a hot lucky streak after he just recently netted his 18th significant win in the lottery.
Does lightning strike 18 times? the Idaho Lottery said in a social media post. For Idaho Lottery player Robert Bevan... it just might.
