Texas Lottery bans lottery courier services
This story is interesting to say the least. One thing that makes no sense is first the Texas Lottery says they can't ban courier services and now they are trying to ban them? The issue of these huge purchasing groups has been brought to them in the past but they claimed they couldn't do anything about it and now they are trying to do something? It is definitely not illegal to buy up all 25million combinations, but the mechanics of actually doing it are mind boggling. They only reason these g

Anti Computerized Lottery Petition
part of the problem with computerized drawings is that state lotteries use third party vendors to make overly elaborate computer programs that the lottery employees themselves cannot easily audit because they're run on some proprietary systems. an eighth grader could write a simple python or javascript program to generate lottery numbers. this is not difficult stuff. and it would be cheaper to do this in-house. but probably some lottery officials get kickbacks for outsourcing every single l

A Texas Lottery jackpot was "bought" last year, but legislators are pushing wrong solution
Thanks for the article. It's a fine piece of work that gave more insight into the controversies of huge buying partnerships. Some of it reminds me of what I read about the Jerry Selbee story how some lottery vendors were skirting the rules for him and others who were doing what he did to outsmart the lottery. I'm not sure if any laws were broken here, but I think they may have been bent a little. Thanks for the good article, and keep up the great work.

I am coming to your State 😁
In some of them yes. For Texas I filled that info online then it generates an email with a barcode. Am not concerned about such info, it's already all out in the dark web for 50 cents. Over the years I have received emails from banks, insurance providers, cellular providers, third party vendors for online banking etc about hackings on their sites and information being stolen.

Massachusetts Lottery announces online ticket sales coming in 2025
Just woke up from a nap @ the computer and was genuinely shocked by this news! So who would the vendors be? IGT or Scientific Games? In any case this is a win win for everyone. So out of the loop for home state politics didn't know they had a female Governor until yesterday, for what this is worth.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
OK, so for each of the three interim drawings, $704,500 in prizes are awarded. That makes a grand total of $ 2,113,500 in prizes for all three interim periods. The grand prize drawing will award a minimum of (10) $1,000,000 prizes, for a total of $10,000,000 in prizes in the Grand Prize drawing. So all told a total of $12,113,500 in prize money to be awarded. Now divide $12,113,500 by 20, and you have the number of tickets that need to be sold to fund the prizes. So 605,675 twenty
