So if you would like to see the 5005 combinations of 6 numbers in 15, Probaloto will print them out for you.
This is the statement in Probaloto description that triggered my attention. If this is a DOS application can it still run on anything, not to mention printing? I still have a bunch of my own design DOS softwares (wheel generator included) but I can't get anything running on any of my computers. Some stuff I reprogrammed for Windows but the generator was not included.
If Probaloto cannot be used anymore the code I provided, after some modifications, can be used for generating, displaying, saving & printing combinations Probaloto promises to do. Additionally, Probaloto is serving as a wheel generator as well. The question is what kind of wheels is it capable of generating and are these wheels actually playable? Give you an example. Needed wheels for 24 numbers with 6 tickets each. Tried to use Cover Master. What I got was 90% of the time numerical gibberish with many of the 24 numbers simply missing from the wheel. So I ended up heavily editing wheels from CV and actually generating several of them manually. Clearly, CV cannot handle many wheel parameter configurations.
In DOS era guaranteed wheels (fully covered) dominated. Today we know that such guarantees do not account for much as they can be applied only to small number groups or the wheel will become unplayable due to its size. The code I provided can be modified to not only generate combinations but also combine these combinations into wheels of any desired size and number composition.
That's the connection with Probaloto.
