  Did you really? What state was that in? Congratulations!!!Just a few questions, if you don't mind...did you win on a quick pick or your own numbers? Do you get a check the same time every year?Do you pay additional taxes or just what they withhold? Did you decide to keep working? How did the win change you both positively and negative. Sorry for all the ?? but I always wanted to ask a winner, thanks for sharing your input.

  See this "1 win every 51,979 years" thing sounds great on paper. But statistics don't mimic reality. In fact, even though the odds are astronimically low, I could very well win three times in a row. If I do I'll be sure to send you guys some cash. ;)

  1. $3 in quick picks along with $2 in scratch tickets
  2. yes check every year mailed to a p.o. box which my accountant and FA handle
  3. i am subject to state taxes. i usually get nice tax credits back from my other businesses i own plus the money i give to local and national charities. it all equals out to where the only taxes i pay are federal.
  4. it really hasnt change my life or familys life. so it has had nothing but a positive effect. the other negative effect is the people who say i should do this and should do that. the people who say these kinds of things do not understand the situation we live in.

  Joe won in 1994 in Pennsylvania. The game he won on no longer exists. The game DID NOT have a cash option.

  Yeah right congrats, Joe. I am jealous of him and anyone else who is rich. I wonder how people can afford BMW's and Mercedes? I guess they too won the lottery.:(

  Sorry, but statistics DO mimic reality. If you spend $50 dollars per drawing, the odds that you will win three times in a row is 1 in 1.97 * 10^19. You could very well win three times in a row? Fat chance.
