Annuity or Lump Sum?
I don't really agree. Your contract is with the lottery, the government, not whatever security they invested in. So even if that goes bust, you'll still get
the money from the government. IF something happens to the US government then your lumpsum amount would've probably been affected as well. It'd
be like the end of the world anyway.
And I don't think taxes will go up and up non-stop. But who knows.

Have you won a big JP?
Excellent questions Red.
You have to be in control- its your money unless a winner does not view it so from the start.
As for being sued- l don't think telling them they are lousy at what they do is considered grounds for a lawsuit. California is an At Will State you don't need a reason to let someone go, just as long as it's not based on religious views, political, sexual orientation etc. Unless you signed a contract with the attorney-pull the trigger if you not getting what you paying fo

$338 million NJ Powerball winner a deadbeat dad?
Oh yeah, this show is going to be good.
I predict he will be found dead in a penthouse suite in Vegas with about a kilo of coke on the table, killed by some stripper he was in love with and her boyfriend who run off with suitcase of cash with about $3 million in it.
My neighbor in the NBA, his child support for 1 kid is about $25,000 a month and his contract is about $100 million so this guy's child support from now on should be pretty epic. I assume the children's mothers will push for a

N.J. man claims $338 million Powerball jackpot
Interesting information, whiteballz! That may break down to apx. $604/month Child Support payment. I wonder why so much (more than one child)? Maybe child support payments is why Pedro retired very early from owning working in bodega/convenience store; selling store to one of his older children.
Pedro is probably quickly working with a lawyer to ensure that his child (moved from the U.S.A. to Dominican Republic) quickly receives the back $29K, plus a higher arranged monthly amount contract. T

Illinois Lottery seeks to collect $20 million from operator Northstar Lottery Group
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Lottomatica S.p.A. is an Italian company active in the gaming business. The world's largest operator of lotteries[2] (its portfolio includes Italy's Lotto game), Lottomatica also provides various other gaming services and related technologies. The company has its offices in Rome. In August 2006, it completed the acquisition of Gtech, a U.S. gaming company. It is controlled with a 59.8% stake by the De Agostini group.

Camelot, Pa. Gov. extend contract expiration date
Wow - so the state attorney ruled that the proposed deal volates the state constitution... no huge suprise that Camelot Global extended the deadline to sign the deal - it would be a huge money maker for the UK firm (is it a UK firm? or just a firm who handles the UK national lottery?)...
no huge surprise that the Corbett administration will challenge Ms. Kane's ruling in court (they would have to get the court to say it DIDN'T go against the state constitution before the contract would be si

pick 3 easy to follow and make some hits
Thanks for the response Blackie. I'm still curious as to how you arrived at your doubles.
Brooklyn is fine but I just sold my house (I'm going to see my attorney to sign the contract tomorrow) and I am looking to buy a house in New Jersey.
When you say you sail out of the union hall what do you mean, are you a sailor?

Part of a Pool?
When PB gets really high, the girls I work with all pitch in 20 bucks each . There are about 5 of us. I go out and by the tickets and make xeroxed copies of them. We all sign the back and I made up a contract that we all sign. I know this may sound extreme, but I've heard too many horror stories. Most of the time when I pool with them, I select the quck pick option, but I do let them know in advance that I may purchase some tickets on my own where I select my own numbers, and inform them they ca

When will Military Bases allow Lottery machines?
Just a bit of a follow up.
While if the Military required a Soldier to finish out his/her contract after winning a large sum of money, would it interfere with their core values? Perhaps a Blue Falcon might be encougaged to be an even bigger douchebag when he is under the illusion that his future is set, potentially jepordizing his unit and the current mission. There is a possibility that a jackpot winner will continue to serve the rest of his Military career with honor, but how will the rest
