Privatization
I think it went bad for the private co. as they did not meet their minimum guarantee, now we'll have to see if IL. got the contract right and can hold them to it. Could be a good example for other states, does IL. get anything right unless some corrupt pol. is getting a piece of the action ?

Beware of sharks swimming in your office lottery pool
Ever hear the name Merlande Wilson? She's the McDonald's worker who didn't even win and is being sued by her coworkers. You've just done almost exactly what she said did, IIRC. She admitted to being part of the pool, but said the winning ticket was one she bought on her own. At the time her coworkers claimed that when the jackpot was increased they decided to buy more tickets and gave her the money to do it, so they believed the winning ticket she claimed to have belonged to the pool. Giving

Iowa Lottery on the verge of revealing names of 'Shipping 20' winners
Maybe as in 'intent' or something. I doubt a trust was formed that quickly. Lawyer was most likely blowing smoke like most lawyers. Possibly a lottery pool contract based on a written agreement (email?). These people were going to have their names revealed from the git-go. More than likely, this was a delay tactic hoping the hype would die down and most of the nut jobs would go away between then and the release of names. Anyone who works at that Quaker Oats plant knows who they are. And t

This is a Bombshell for Powerball...
...i hope everybody is not waiting until the last minute and then run around like headless... contracts should be formed and signed now...and pools should be competing...using the predictions board...and with concrete systems... My pool is already competing on the prediction board and testing our system but since I, me and myself trust each other, there is no need to sign a contract.
