Ontario mulling lottery tax
Ontario's finance minister is opposed to a scheme to tax lottery and gambling winnings. Don't bet the family farm on a lottery tax, said Greg Sorbara. This is not something that is getting very much consideration wherever. Frankly, I wasn't very impressed with the results that we might gain from it. Gambling in Ontario nets the province $2 billion annually. All the winnings are tax-free, unlike in the United States, where some states tax gambling proceeds at rates of up to 18 per cent. The Ontar

Would you tell or not?
Hi.... After readin the material provided by INTEL , i have decided not to tell and i agree with teufelli about having a ironclad contract ( as long as i can do it using a fake name) about disclosing any large wins. Legislation designed to increase accountability at the Minnesota Lottery moved forward Wednesday, while fallout from the lottery's troubles continued.A Senate committee passed a bill that would have the state lottery director serve at the pleasure of the governor, which means he or she can be removed for no reason. Current law requires the governor to show misconduct before firing the director.Sen. Ann Rest, DFL-New Hope, introduced the bill this year after reports the lottery director may have

Online Lottery Pool
Jake,I agree with RJOh. You are asking alot of others. If you really want to do what you are proposing in any type of legal manner, you have no idea what is involved.Like I stated before, I run a club/pool in Georgia for the 3 Lottery games we have here and let me tell you it is very time consuming. I probably spend between 15 to 20 hours a week filling out game cards, buying tickets, emailing the members and updating the website daily. I am not complaining because I enjoy doing it. I don't

How to Remain Anonymous?
Don't play in groups without a written agreement and a Federal Employer's ldentiftcation Number (for tax purposes). Remember, if your understanding is not in writing, your dream-come-true could become your worst nightmare. Most lotteries payout each jackpot to only one individual or entity. If you claim all the money, the lottery reports only your Social Security Number to the IRS and only you must pay all the federal income taxes due. If you distribute the winnings among group members, you are a
