Illinois Lottery mulling changes to drawings
From the OP:
Lottery officials said Tuesday they are considering parting ways with WGN-TV, home to daily drawings since 1994, when the current one-year contract expires in June. Advances in lottery technology, an influx of new games and the move by Tribune Co. to pull the evening drawings off of national cable channel WGN America in February are playing into the decision.
Couple this with the thread about Northstar not divulging everything and it's very suspicious.
WGN America is in th

Tennessee Lottery celebrates 10 years, unveils new logo
What the hell did she need a new logo for?
And it looks like the old logo to me anyway, I don't see any difference, not that I ever studied the logo anyway; there ain't no logos on any of my playslips and the logos on the tickets are so light you can't make 'em out anyway. Who cares about a stupid logo?
I wonder who made out on that deal? I wonder whose brother in law got the printing contract? I wonder whose close friend conducted the study and focus group to decide which logo would be b

How do I properly run an online lottery pool?
i would ask how do you enforce someone pays up?
I mean mathematically is a sure bet, everyone buys 1 ticket, the chances are , say if 10 people joined, that you would 90% of the time not have to send that check. and be collecting them, if 100 joined 99% of the time you would be collecting. you would at least need a legal contract agrreed to by entering a photo, and a no win no fee lawyer agree to take ea and every case you generate.
id say there would be a tendancy for people to

Ireland National Lottery to be sold for €405M
It does not indicate that anything specifically will change. It's just about which company owns the right to operate the lottery for the next number of years.
Just like the talk about privitization in the USA. It's not about somehow changing the lottery into something different; it's about whether the government itself or a private company will operate the lottery.
When the government sells the lottery, it is offering the license to operate the lottery for a certain number years. Normally

$400 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot explodes
OMFG! Just pay the taxes and stop your nonsense. You aren't going to get around paying taxes by writing a rant on the back of the check. Do you really think that's how taxation works? 12 USC 411 doesn't even have anything to do with taxes, it only has to do with the access to and redemption of 'lawful money'. Redeeming money has nothing to do with not having to pay taxes on it. Go to section 26 which discusses the IRS and see how far section 12 gets you there.
Who is taking a check anyway? D

Playing the Lottery as a Business
Back when I was learning to invest, a retired futures contract trade manager taught me a little of his experience. He found that in a random market--which he compared to any of the random games of chance--one could average a profit by managing their bet-sizes and bankroll the same way an investor would. And thus, survive the random losses and extended drawdowns.
At the time I hadn't had any experience with games of chance, so his explaination was over my head--until I had some practice with

Lottery Bible ~ Large Print
Hi Harve$t Moon.
I believe it is technical. I asked Todd way way back about being able to change the rating if you make an error. He stated that he could not make changes to it even if it is an error. It is easy to enter a mistake it happened to me once. I would like that Idea to extend the time factor. I believe he is independent of the rating system. It may be a contract thing to avoid any meddling. Todd can explain it best.
However, Everytime I get a little rusty I refer back to this t

Would you split the MM/PB jackpot evenly amongst family members if you Won?
the word is annuity. I have no idea what an annunity is supposed to be.
Definition of ANNUITY
1: a sum of money payable yearly or at other regular intervals
2: the right to receive an annuity
3: a contract or agreement providing for the payment of an annuity

...with everything in your post, especially in the 3rd paragraph. Though I don't think people necessarily look in the wrong places, or take the wrong approaches. Its a little challenging to qualify wrong with this game. If one dives deep, straight, and long enough, which are the conditionals, even in the wrong places and with the wrong approaches, one could still end up 'off-center, which is infinitely better than way off-center. I somehow feel that all approaches are valid, but our vision tends
