questions on pools & past experiences
I am thinking of forming a pool. A long time ago I formed a small pool for Fantasy 5 (florida) had everyone sign a agreement contract with all the necessary details. At that time Fantasty 5 was running only 3 days a week it was easy, today it is 7 times a week. Anyway we won $547.50 in just 3 wks of playing one member opted out so he had to sign out on the sheet. I did the wheeling it was a lot of work.
My question is this? The person who holds the winning ticket, what happens if by ch

I know A LOT of multimillionaires that pay A LOT more in taxes than I do, and I'm sure more than most (all) of you as well.
If a person has 10 million, and is taxed down to, say 6 million, you don't notice it as much as a person that has, say $75,000 and is taxed down to $40,000.
What *I* don't like is the millionaires that become multi-millionaires because of who they know it political office: 'what can you do for me ?'
Throw a guy a government contract or two, and they have it MADE in

Major lottery winner says he's a fraud victim
Yeah...I agree. My uncle won the NJ lottery back in 2006...walked away with $1.8 million after taxes.
He said he knew he would probably do something foolish, so he contacted his attorney and drew up a contract prohibiting the lottery office from wiring his money to his account for 90 days. He took the 90 days to cool off, calm down, continue working and maintain some sense of normalcy, and it worked. By the time he received the money, he had taken the time to think things through.
He used

The Michael Vick Thread
Yeah he really blew it. Maybe most people don't realize it, but Federal Preosecutors do not issue indictments on people unless they already know they have the evidence to convict them. They do not waste time and public tax dollars on prosecuting lightly.
So they have what they need. And Vick will plea-bargain. His plea-bargaining will keep him from going on trial, but they will not, I believe, allow a plea bargain that does not include some jail time. Be it even 18 months in jail, he will

7-7-7 was a lucky day!!
If a store owner printed 100 extra tickets in Miami because he felt he could sell them to customers, he might be preventing someone from playing in Tampa.
Why would a store owner care if he knew that having extra tickets for late buyers attracted customers to his store?
Before BigGame/MegaMillion came to Illinois I read about a bartender who attracted customers by traveling to Wisconsin with his wife, buying a bunch of PB tickets and reselling them to his customers. His customers apprec

working out syndicate groups?
It doesn't matter when or where you buy 'certain' tickets, if you ever got sued and went to court it would not matter, unless you have it written in the contract that 'only tickets purchased at xxxxx are part of the office pool, tickets purchased elsewhere are not'. I can almost guarantee you the lawsuit would be over you pulling a switcharoo on them, the jury would be sympathetic to them, and you would probably lose, even though people 'magically know' when and where you buy THEIR tickets.

Contacting Professionals After You Hit A Multi-Million Dollar Prize!
Sorry everyone that I keep posting on this thread, but I just read this comment, and Guru again has a good point. How would you prove you had the winning lottery ticket in it? What if there was a fire? I would sleep with it, wear it, never let it out of my sight until it was validated. This is copied from the FDIC web site

Ex-lovers settle bitter fight over $12.4 million lottery win
In her legal action, Konickova said she should have received at least $6 million, but since Garbe breached his unwritten contract to share the winnings, she should be entitled to the entire $12.4 million, plus interest.
Isn't this justice? I guess the guy has to wait to win again before he can get his share.
What some people think of others. If he gave her all the money and then shoots her he would be another crazy man. Who knows how long this man has been dreaming of winning the lottery

Why the US is turing into a facist country
You're playing right into their hands. That's what they want you to do. Fight over democrat vs republican. The way they've conned you is either choice, they win.America lost its freedom in 1913 with the adoption of the federal reserve and flat currency we have had ever since. America used to have real money BACKED BY GOLD. Our currency today is backed by nothing but the ability of the us govt. to collect the taxes at almost the point of a gun. The value of our currency is in correllation to what
