What would you do if you won 10 Billion dollars..
1) You are thinking too simple in how a syndicate would do it today, think 'easier', think 'criminal'.
2) Which is why it's *MY* money to do with what *I* want to do with it, and if *I* don't want to give it to somebody or some place, *I* won't. I don't mind a 'fair' salary, I do mind an outrageous one, and it's my call as to what I think is outrageous, and I'm sure you have thoughts on what you think is nuts as well, so just agree to disagree here. There are a lot of charities around where

Legal question?
Hey fast eddie where are you? Your comments, ideas and presence would be welcome!
If any taxes should be removed, they are the taxes on any form of gambling. By definition and by reports in the news media, more money is lost than ever won. Therefore anyone able to make a little profit after overcoming the odds deserves to keep the winnings without being penalized with taxes.
Gifts aren't taxed until you go over the $12,000 (as pointed out by justxploring) - seems like a reasonable amoun

Affirmations, mantras and Hail Marys for the lottery
Yeah, you are.
I'm not sure why. I don't recall ever reading any of your posts.
Occasionally I go through a feeding frenzy thread and block everyone who's elbowing up to the trough. Maybe when I blocked you I was just cutting too wide a swath.
Ain't a big deal. Feel free to block me if you wish.
Blocking is just a means of filtering down the reality a person has to deal with. For some reason sometime past I thought the reality I wanted to deal with didn't include you.

The Solution t This Gas Extortion
An excellent idea but, unfortunately, the American people will not inconvenience themselves for a common cause. If there's a Mobil station on the corner where they buy their gas on their way to or from work, they won't drive six blocks out of their way to buy from Citgo.
If you want to fight the high price of gas, buy crude oil options or invest in oil service companies such as Schlumberger, Inc. It won't bring the price of gasoline down, but you'll make enough money to pay for your gas for

Texas Pick 3 is state's top moneymaker
Years ago, one of the the several incompetent Texas lottery directors came up with a Pick 4 game called Texas Millions. It failed and was cancelled after a couple of years.
The main reason Millions failed was because it was a $2 game. Players paid $1 to select numbers. The second dollar bought additional chances, which were generated by a lottery computer. In other words, the lottery decided how many winners there would be. While some folks did win a million, most players just avoided the ga

First proposed N.C. lottery ad beats to different drummer
The first television commercial for the North Carolina Education Lottery apparently will be looking literally to drum up support.
In a concept draft of the ad released by the lottery commission late Tuesday, a man sits in a chair in his home, starting to scratch off a lottery ticket with a coin.
Then a drum roll is heard, and the man gives an excited look to his wife before a marching band walks through their living room and plays a fight song. A narrator then talks about the new lottery,
