Florida's Fantasy 5
Right... FF5 is the best bet among Fla online games. That's why I play it.
When the lottery added the midday drawing ticket sales immediately went way down. That can be attributed to just one thing - player reaction by voting with their dollars and walking away from the game. Added to that that, these days, people are feeling the effects of higher prices on many things (inflation) and probably have cut back on lottery spending as a result.
IMHO even if inflation is coming down, and pla

$1.1 BILLION: Powerball jackpot increased in longest-ever winless streak
Yes, that would be much simpler and fairer. Taxes should be built into the price of the ticket, although I understand each state has different taxes and you wouldn't have a flat ticket price. Let's be honest, unless you take the actual cash and stuff it in a mattress, the winnings will be spent or invested and thus taxed at every stage - profits, dividends, interest, stamp duties, sales taxes etc etc etc.
Here in Australia our Powerball jackpots are obviously much lower given our population

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
https://lite.cnn.com/2025/12/13/business/powerball-billion-dollar-jackpot-mega-millions
But since Mega Millions 150% price hike in April, Powerball ticket sales have pulled way ahead. Mega Millions has sold 495 million tickets since the April 8th change, bringing in $2.5 billion in revenue. During the same period Powerball has sold just over 2 billion tickets, bringing in $4.1 billion, according to numbers compiled by lottery watchdog snip using official reports.

Michigan man wins $1 million Super Raffle prize with ticket purchased at "luckiest store"
Over the years I have noticed that some stores are just lucky and some aren't.
It doesn't seem to have anything to do with sales...if they are going to sell winners they are going to sell winners.
Congrats to both the winner and the store.

Virginia Lottery Director Khalid R. Jones appointed as Mega Millions Lead Director
The ultimate power lies with the players, and many players took their purchasing power elsewhere. The boycott is working. I haven't played MM since the $5/line cost.
I recommend lowering the ticket cost back down to $2.
MM will continue to lose sales to competitors like Powerball until then. The people playing one line per draw MM and losing $200 in the run up will get tired of bleeding $500/year at a 96% losing rate.

One Georgia ticket wins $983 million Mega Millions jackpot
California being allowed to make lower tier prizes parimutuel is a part of the official PB rules that all states follow. How sales revenue is apportioned to the various prize levels, and therefore the total amount of each prize pool is the same percentage for all members of the game, and unrelated to how that prize pool is used to pay winners.
How or if winners' identities are publicized is based on state law or lottery rules, and generally isn't part of the PB rules. Strangely, the official

Mississippi Lottery halts Cash 3 triple payout promotion one week in
Thanks Todd
Has any other state lottery suspended sales for a game because of too many winners?
Everything about this promotion is weird where a game with a house edge of 50% is flipped so the players have a 50% edge.

Mississippi Lottery halts Cash 3 triple payout promotion one week in
Apparently the Mississippi Lottery doesn't employ anyone that understands a pick 3 game. Especially when syndicates are spending millions in some states to buy every lotto game combination for a guaranteed jackpot with the only risk of splitting it was other winning tickets.
Mississippi players could spend $1000 and get a guaranteed $500 win. Most states have limits on the total amount the will pay out, but doesn't change the win for anyone wagering $1000 before the limit was reached.

Any guesses as to the next increase for the Measly Millions, should a rollover happen tomorrow night ?
Another $40 Million ??
Another $40M would bring it to $794M.
I bet they will go to at least $800M, that is a $46M increase. And that should unfold an even higher increase announced Tuesday night (if jackpot is not hit) for the following Friday (Fridays sales are larger than Tuesdays, so the increase leading to a Friday is significantly larger then the one leading to a Tuesday).
