New Jersey couple wins $3 million lottery prize six months after winning $1 million
That's not how probabilities are calculated at all.
Just like MM PB, each game has winning tickets with specific probabilities to that game. For scratch-offs it's # of printed tickets containing that prize amount divided by total number of tickets. And since these two games are not dependent, the combined odds is just multiplying the odds of winning each of those prizes individually.
For instance, the odds of someone winning both PB MM jackpot would be 1 in 292M*290M.

Scratch off's
I just googledmy state. This is what ai said....., Maryland scratch-off prizes are paid in a lump sum, not an annuity . Annuity payments, which distribute winnings in installments over many years, are an option only for large jackpot prizes from specific drawing games like Powerball, Mega Millions, and Multi-Match.

classic questions on lottery forums
EV is the most important thing I consider, along with price and odds of winning. It's why I almost never play the draw games because the return is just terrible. The scratch offs pay back more (in Colorado).

Ethiopia native thankful for "perfectly timed blessing" of $1 million Maryland lottery prize
This member is constantly trying to pick fights. Such a sad and angry person.
Seems quite unaware that I created the pinned topic on anonymity rules. Wish she would develop some basic reasoning skills. She sounds like an old school marm who did not save for retirement. Hopefully she will find something better to do with the weekend.
MARYLAND Anonymous . Can a winner remain anonymous. Yes, you can. When we meet with winners who claim prizes at our Baltimore office, we encourage them to e

LOTTERY POST 25TH ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY #4
Thank you all for participating in our fourth giveaway to celebrate Lottery Post's 25th Anniversary! There was a great mix of all sorts of games, from scratch-off games to local in-state games to multi-state games, but it looks like Pick 3 and Pick 4 emerged as the most popular (at least from everyone here in this thread).
This giveaway is now officially closed. Winners will be announced very soon!

Montana Lottery aims to prohibit bulk purchases after group takes gamble on $1.6 million jackpot
Smaller lottery unexpectedly targeted by purchasing group prompts security discussions
Plans partially foiled by another winner
By Kate Northrop
The Montana Lottery is the latest state to propose rules that would prohibit bulk ticket purchases after an unknown entity bought hundreds of thousands of tickets to scoop a $1.6 million Montana Cash jackpot in May.
One by one, state lotteries across the nation have been taking proactive steps to curb the possibility of organized groups

Anti Computerized Lottery Petition
Lotteries make buckets of money. The cost of doing live ball drawings is a sliver of the ticket price.
I'm boycotting RNG games starting now. That means no more Millionaire for Life. All of Colorado's in-state draw games are RNG. I already put their ticket vending machines on my ban list, so there's almost nothing here for me to play because stores have such a limited selection of scratch offs.
I encourage everyone to boycott and force these people to end every RNG game.

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
I posted one or two winning scratch-off tickets from a series with better chances of a top prize than at the beginning of the ticket run. They weren't huge winners, but neither are 50 cent boxed bets on pick 3 with its crummy paytable.
You haven't shut down any lottery games. Your imagination the real world.

New Millionaire for Life multi-state game coming in 2026
This is a non starter. 1st Problem: Computer simulation with no ball drop. 2nd Problem: Top prize isn't nearly enough for a $ 5 line. 3rd problem: Daily Draws - 2-3 times a week is max. Summary...MUSL apparently doesn't believe their own numbers after looking at the revenue loss on Mega Millions. IF they made the Cash Ball a multiplier of the jackpot that would spice it up tremendously (They would still have 1 as an out). Remember the Tennessee Cash 3 Double numbers problem (where doubles were c

Ohio Lotto Scratch Off +Print Tickets
Curious question re players of Ohio Lottery Games. For a hobby I collect losing instant and print tickets from my local retailer and enter them on MyLotto on their website for points. They have a limit of 1200 points worth of tickets monthly. I routinely collect far more in any given month than I can enter for points. I personally prefer to use the points towards Lotto Cash Coupons to buy more instant tickets. Am curious of any way I can donate some of my surplus tickets to other OHIO players as
