In the context of Mega Millions . . not paying the extra dollar for the Megaplier (except California).
Around 24 times better odds of a 5+0 win than 5+1 . . and $2-5 million is definitely better that $1 million!

One Number Away From Winning Jackpot - Pick 5 Gamers
As someone that matched 5 out of 6 in a 6/49 lotto, 4 if 5 in PB, and several 4 of 5s in Ohio's 5/39 Rolling Cash 5, the thing that came to my mind is the huge difference in payoff by being one number off makes. The lotto win was about $900 compared to a $40 million jackpot. Got $500 on PB because I used Power Play and the RC5 paid $300 compared to a minimum $100,000.
well at least you won second place prize.
We know the terrible odds before buying tickets and you're right, we won somet

One Number Away From Winning Jackpot - Pick 5 Gamers
I too felt the same way when I would win 4 out of 5 in the Fantasy 5 Florida game, but years later after I gained some experience, I realized that the the difference between getting five numbers correct and the jackpot had a huge gap, meaning the odds were literally in the tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands or so.
Nevertheless I learned two things from this. One is that it was very satisfying to see reality play out, on the other hand the old adage is still true today, basically w

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Thank you! This bugs the iShhh outta me every time I read a winner s announcement. What it should say is:
The $25 game, $10,000,000 WORLD CLASS CASH, featured more than $549 million in total cash prizes when it launched in February 2017, including two top prizes of $10 million and 46 prizes of $1 million! While the top two prizes have been claimed, there are still 5 $1 million prizes remaining along with thousands of other prizes! Beginning overall odds of winning were one-in-2.89.

Pick 4 Out Of Pick 3**Great Results In Texas**
Thanks.
Yes, although in some states you may need to test and not do step 1.
It's no guarantee but it helps improve your odds.

I have developed a method to play Jackpot Games.
Here's my attempt at applying the concepts from the book. It's a work in progress! I play Euromillions (the HotPicks version), the UK National Lottery (again, just the HotPicks version) and the UK ThunderBall game. The odds seem to be the best for EuroMillions where if you Pick 5 and match them all, you win 1 Million! There are smaller prizes for the smaller picks (from Pick 1 to Pick 4, in addition to Pick 5).
The 2/3 rule is definitely spot on and I'm grateful to Igrok for making this known

Thank You rcbbuckeye. I am not so good putting words to say at the time, but I m glad somebody gets what I m trying to preach; without any interjection or interdiction. Too much of anything makes you an addict. 70% of/from 20%.
How many Scratch off Prizes get unclaimed when the game gets thrown away? What happens to those very limited amount of prizes? Can Anybody? Odds Schmodds

The odds question
Igor
Thanks. Sure enough. Jade has given the correct answer right at the very start. I stopped reacting to all those posts as people seem to totally ignore the fact that these 2 numbers are known. This way it becomes quite a different game. I personally would like to face such odds in lotteries.
You certainly realize it was kind of an intellectual exercise. I know no such guy.
